You realize that house calls still involve a person going from house to house right? The doctor still sees other patients after interacting with the sick.

A doctor's office that allows the unvaccinated (by choice) is a danger to every other patient that enters that office.
400 people die a day from measles. Talk about benign.

Plus the often ignored fact that nearly half of successful conceptions are miscarried without the woman's knowledge.

How can people know that? Are there traces of the miscarried fetus in the uterus? I've read that stat a few times, but it's never explained how they've come to that number.

I think you read it wrong. By want I mean wanted to be born. Cause obviously HE/SHE doesn't want them all to come to term.

When we lost a child at about 6 weeks or so, I asked the OB/GYN if there was any identifiable remains of our child. The doctor said no. I wish there was, for however small, that was our child and I would have buried him/her. Instead, we're left with a memory of what might have been.

So it has been a year or so since I have read the primary literature on the subject but I would be willing to track down the sources if anyone would seriously read them.

Anyway, it is a estimate from a lot of different viewpoints. Your question is a good one. I will try to avoid too much detail.

Some of the numbers, starting with the easiest: 15-20% of known pregnancies are miscarried. This means there has been a bHCG spike or evidence on ultrasound. It is generally termed an stillbirth it occurs after 20 weeks. Chromosomal abnormalities are the main source of first trimester miscarriages and the frequency of those are determined from looking at eggs and determining the inherent rate of errors of meiosis. Looking at natural cycles, about 20 percent of conceptions never implant.

This and a few other things are what are used to estimate. I have heard anywhere from 20-70% but I think the number is probably around 40-50 from the sources I trust the most.

Pretty much this. However, I can see where Bob probably feels that non-viable fetuses are "the general public", even if you and I don't agree.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said Monday he thinks parents should have "some measure of choice" over vaccinations. He quickly walked back the comments, with his spokesman emailing that Christie feels "there is no question kids should be vaccinated" with a disease like measles.

Just heard a vaccine expert from Mayo on the radio yesterday. He had to tell a Mom recently that her kid died because she decided not to give him the vaccine. You want to be the parent that has to live with that the rest of their life.

There is NO EVIDENCE. None. That vaccines cause Autism. The freaks that started that rumor should be prosecuted for terrorism.
