Re: Campaign 2016 - Run-HRC? Honest Injun? Gott Mitt Himmel? RyanRubioCruzCrud?

About a year, President Obama announced an executive order requiring federal contractors to raise their minimum wage to $10.10 an hour.” As expected, congressional Republicans were not pleased. Rep. Randy Weber (R-Texas), for example, called the president a “Socialistic dictator” and the “Kommandant-In-Chef.”

He probably meant “chief.”

Last night, the right-wing congressman offered the world another look at his rhetorical flourishes.

Texas Rep. Randy Weber, an outspoken conservative hardliner, compared President Barack Obama unfavorably to German dictator Adolf Hitler in a tweet posted Monday night.

Weber bashed Obama for failing to travel to Paris on Sunday for a massive anti-terrorism march attended by dozens of other world leaders.

Specifically, on Twitter, the unhinged lawmaker wrote, “Even Adolph Hitler thought it more important than Obama to get to Paris. (For all the wrong reasons.) Obama couldn’t do it for right reasons.”

Going to be hard to run to the right this election season. Even after all the meetings they can't get the white men to shut up.

It's funny until you realize they only do it to play to huge constituencies that lap it up and mewl for more. This psychotic idiocy is gospel to a quarter of the US population, and they are goaded to drink even deeper by the GOP. That should be terrifying even to conservatives who see the short term gain in it for their side, since in the long run anyone with a functioning cerebrum is the arch enemy of these violent schnooks.

What's interesting is the left's getting so worked up about a humorous poke at Obama for not going to Paris. But, hey, it's political season, as it always is anymore, so the spinmeisters are hard at it.

You think that was funny????

Says the guy who put me on permanent ignore over a far less offensive joke that I didn't even make, just laughed at.

Your sense of humor needs a serious recalibration.

You really think he was comparing Obama to Hitler in any sense other than both had an interest in being in Paris at a point in time? With that inane reasoning, I guess all of us who have gone to Paris are like Hitler.

And unofan keeps following me around from thread to thread, despite my not having an interaction with him since his offensive attacks years back. Obsession is not a pretty thing.

It's a public board, Bob, and I respond to many posts on these threads. Just because I respond to your absurd positions doesn't mean I'm following you around. I just do my part to point out logical gaps in training to sway others. And, btw, thank you again for proving you aren't actually ignoring me despite your repeated contentions that you are.

And by "offensive attacks" you mean an insult you created out of thin air in your own head, as the archived thread makes clear (if it survived the last database purge), right?

I think the fact that you called a comment made by a sitting congressman comparing the sitting president to Hitler "humorous" is extremely telling about your personal sense of humor.

And now this thread is a dumpster fire just like the Gophers and the Wild.

Hitler isn't funny. Everyone over 18 knows not to use Hitler in a joke. Apparently, however, morons can be elected to serve at the Federal Level.

Screw you, I work for Mel Brooks! (Different movie, but still, he's known for a Hitler joke or two in his career.)

Ok, since everyone is fine with the Hitler Joke will turn to another GOP member who can't keep his mouth shut.

In a New Year's Eve Facebook post, Michigan RNC Committeeman Dave Agema republished an essay from American Renaissance, a white-supremacist newsletter. The article, which Agema said he found "very enlightening," argued that "blacks are different by almost any measure to all other people. They cannot reason as well. They cannot communicate as well. They cannot control their impulses as well. They are a threat to all who cross their paths, black and non-black alike."

That guy's a winner.

From what I recall, none of Mel's jokes ever compared someone else to Hitler. It's different when you're pointing and laughing at the old nutter himself (such as imagining him being played by a faaaaabulous director as part of a ridiculous musical-within-a-musical).

But of course, one quick Google search for "Bush Hitler" proves that neither side is immune to stupid comparisons.
