Rubio appears to be passing Trump in the polls. This is big for several reasons. 1. The GOP establishment has found its candidate as has been speculated 2. It could now be a 3 horse GOP race or 3. An exiled, jilted Trump could find his way to an independent bid.

XM Progressive radio complained about that this morning. All the outlets led with "artful smear" but none of them covered the substance of the accusation that Hillary won't regulate Wall Street effectively because she's on the take. It is disturbing that the NYT and WaPo have no problem connecting those dots when it's a Republican candidate being bribed by the financial industry, but with Clinton it's suddenly a stretch.
We seem to be left with hoping that Clinton is only playing that game in self-defense because the other side is loaded for bear and once safely in office she will nominate justices who will overturn Citizens United and McCutcheon. But putting your hopes in an oligarch to voluntarily concede a class advantage seems perilous at best, and certainly not the way an equal opportunity society is supposed to work.
It can happen, but it's been vanishingly rare.

Hillary was right to call out Sanders for an artful smear, which is what it is. If he disagrees with her policies towards regulating Wall St, he should say so. Insinuating that she's on the take due to a speaking fee is absurd. Given how publicized her income is, anything she does towards anybody will be scrutinized anyway, so there's little to worry about. If students are donating to Sanders campaign for the promise of free college tuition, is that bribery?

None of these candidates have spoken about concerns I have. It still stands: First candidate to fully support a Transportation/Infrastructure program AND a repeal of the (remains of the) Chicken Tax gets my vote.

538 has been saying Rubio is the most likely GOP nominee for months now.
I'm still not sure what qualifications the guy has, but I guess he is the least objectionable candidate they have. Jon Huntsman was the last GOP candidate that I would feel okay about having in office, I wish people like that could take their party back from the nut jobs.
