Another line of the campaign is opening up.

President Obama’s $4.1 trillion budget for the government was formally submitted to Congress today, however, in an unprecedented move, it will not receive so much as a formal hearing from the Republican controlled House and Senate budget committees.

Going back to the 1970s, it has been customary for the Office of Management and Budget Director or another high level administration official to present the president’s entire budget in a hearing before Congress. Last week, the chairmen of the House and Senate budget committees released a joint statement saying this year, that would not be the case.

Republicans tell President Obama to **** off. One wonders why he's governed the way he has the last 8 years?

He bent over backwards for them for 2 years; then he figured out what they were. The Republicans aren't a governing party anymore, they're a pep rally crossed with an auto de fe. Hopefully the voters are sick of their antics and will punish them in the Fall but I wouldn't hold my breath. The only thing that will solve this problem is time.

More so for Trump than Cruz. Cruz' people are most likely true believers especially given the states that he's going to amass his delegates in. Trump is more of a wild card.

trumps big issue is keeping these outcast voters engaged. if you are an outsider and getting peeps to back you who feel left out - they need to continue to feel left out.

well that does it!!! "kep" is actually 'Albert Burneko' :D

the below quote is spot on in line with your work the past week!!!

(Now he is a slang term for the frothy mix of lube and chit that sometimes is a byproduct of anal sex, with an aggrieved professional political candidate attached.)

I wish everybody knew this.

But is it true that our economic system redistributes substantial sums away from the middle class to “handout seekers”? Research by the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities in response to Mitt Romney’s claim during his presidential campaign that many recipients of government help are undeserving found that 91 cents of every dollar spent on entitlement programs goes to “ the elderly (people 65 and over), the seriously disabled, and members of working households.”

And 7 of the remaining 9 cents goes to “medical care, unemployment insurance benefits (which individuals must have a significant work history to receive), Social Security survivor benefits for the children and spouses of deceased workers, and Social Security benefits for retirees between ages 62 and 64.”

Looking at this another way, the CBPP also finds that middle class households are 60 percent of the US population, and they receive 58 percent of the benefits from entitlement programs. There is some redistribution, but it is from the top 20 percent of households to the bottom 20 percent.

Too many people have been misled into believing that their problems are the result of a non-existent “moocher class.” Those at the top, those who have benefitted the most from our economic system, have pushed this myth in a successful attempt to reduce their tax burden.

I am always shocked when middle class people repeat GOP talking points about Social Security and Medicare. It is easy to understand how people fall for the rhetoric that 1% mouthpieces like the WSJ and FNC peddle, but it's just another way the right has of getting people to cut their own throats.

The good thing is we're finally talking about stuff like this now thanks to Warren and Bernie and to some degree even to Obama and the Democratic establishment. Most of the work the donor class did to rip off the middle class was by burying the topic completely so people didn't even think to ask the right questions. That genie is out of the bottle, now.

Jay Billington Bullworth spelled all this out almost 20yrs ago. stop trying to take credit for a new revelation :p

Re: Campaign 2016 - Primary season! Duck (questions) season!

Sanders with 85% of voters under 30 and more importantly with 55% of all women.

Yikes. This is going to be a bigger win than predicted.

Re: Campaign 2016 - Primary season! Duck (questions) season!

Remember Ben Carson? He's running at 2% right now.

67% of Republican NH voters think there should be a ban on Muslim immigration or visiting.

So, we've got a European electorate after all. A 1932 German electorate with socialists on the left and fascists on the right.

According to the WMUR vote totals, Jim Gilmore has 17 votes. Vermin Supreme has 54.

Re: Campaign 2016 - Primary season! Duck (questions) season!

The outside lane, Trump + Cruz + Fiorina + Carsoon, used to be over 65%. In NH it's down to 41%.

Re: Campaign 2016 - Primary season! Duck (questions) season!

reservations for that special place in hell should be ringing off the hook

I didn't catch the org, but a CNN analyst just cited a poll with Sanders and Clinton in a dead heat nationally.

History doesn't repeat. But it rhymes.

Vermin's beating the fecal lube mix, too. No wonder he dropped out.

Tweety doing his best to carry water for Hillary.
