Really, really funny John Oliver show last night about this election.

Bringing in Mike Myers at the end was a nice touch, a funny little addition to the segment. That really is a stupid law. As an aside, Austin Powers has really put on the lbs over the past 10 years or so since he's been out of the movies. He's not John Candy big, but he's noticeably larger.

Devastating article about Trump vs Jebbers! and the GWB "legacy". If Jeb is going to stock his cabinet with advisors of his brothers failed Presidency, these questions are spot on relevant.

The idea that the Bush family's neocon cadre could get anywhere even remotely near the levers of power again after 25 years of incompetent bungling of national security and foreign policy is staggering. Those people should be in prison, not in office.

Hillary is going to take the panel out to the woodshed and beat them senseless. The GOP will look as silly after that hearing as they did after the Planned Parenthood hearing.

They are probably wishing they could adjourn with no hearing. Their sole hope now is that she comes across as arrogant and says or does something bizarre. Talk about a dirty tricks campaign gone wrong. Where are the Republicans of yesterday? At least they could slander somebody without screwing it up.

Well, all I know is on Meet the Press Andrea Mitchell took the GOP rep from the committee out to the woodshed and beat him senseless with his lies. It was awesome TV. Check it out if you can. There's some stories on the Internet about it today as well.

I heard about that. It was that Pompeo numbskull from Kansas. Its pretty bad when even the lamestream media, normally intimidated by Repubicans to the point of absurdity (why did it take until Trump in 2015 to question the notion that GWB "kept us safe" when 9/11 happened on his watch, as well as Iraq) starts calling out knuckledraggers to their face when they lie on camera. From the Meet the Press transcript:

REP. MIKE POMPEO:

Well, we have focused on the central failure. We have focused on the security issues. And we will continue, you'll see lots of questions about that on Thursday. But let me speak to Mr. Blumenthal. Because directly to the security issue, we see now that former Secretary Clinton relied on Mr. Blumenthal for most of her intelligence. That if she wants to rely--

ANDREA MITCHELL:

That is factually not true.

REP. MIKE POMPEO:

No it is absolutely true.

ANDREA MITCHELL:

Relied on Mr. Blumenthal for most of her intelligence?

REP. MIKE POMPEO:

Ms. Mitchell, take a look at the email trails and you will see--

ANDREA MITCHELL:

That's just-- I cover the State Department. That is just factually not correct.

Then indict her. Now.

Why is it the GOP Congressmen saying these things seem to always come from the red states that consistently score among the poorest and most dependent on government support, the worst education record, the worst business climate, and poorest health? We know these guys have locked-up constituencies--do the constituents ever wonder if the direction their representatives are taking them is doing them any good?

Or is burd just an idiot.

Why are you making this an either/or question?

I expect the House Republicans to insist upon an investigation into the House Select Committee's recent leak of highly sensitive information affecting national security. They do care about such things, don't they?

Re: Campaign 2016 - People lie the most after a hunt, during a war or before an elect

Judging by early results there's gonna be a lot of red on the map.

Also learned by reading comments in articles that Canadians really don't like Harper.

At least in Canada, the Liberals are Red. :)
