Campaign 2016 Part XXIV: Both candidates are the same, but here's why yours is awful

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIV: Both candidates are the same, but here's why yours is aw

I was going to say, is there anyone really so dumb as to admit to it.

Well the North Carolina GOP sent emails back and forth showing how their Voter ID laws would help the GOP because it would lower Black turnout. (part of why the law was struck down) The Virginia GOP in 2012 said on TV that their "Voter ID Laws" would deliver the state to Romney. So while not using those words, they still said it rather obviously to the point that the courts said "NOPE!".

I know of a guy who admitted to being guilty of sexual assault to some guy on a bus...while wearing a microphone. So yes, there are people that stupid.

Game...set...MATCH!

Ohio Democratic Party Suing To Prevent Voter Intimidation

Great now both sides are doing it...

the only part that gave me any pause (cause I dont honestly think it is happening)

If they can prove the underlined portion...then all bets are off. I dont buy it at all though.
They have at a minimum three major voter suppression operations under way. Unfortunately it's not the Democrats vote Trump is suppressing.

FYI on early voting so far from NBC:

"Early voting ends today in Nevada and tomorrow in North Carolina

With President Obama stumping in North Carolina -- in Fayetteville and Charlotte -- it's worth remembering that early voting ends tomorrow in the Tar Heel State. And it ends today in Nevada and Georgia, where a new NBC/WSJ/Marist poll showed Trump leading by just one point in the Peach State. As of yesterday, some 33 million Americans have already voted, and here are the numbers in the battlegrounds:

•Arizona: 1.3 million (40%R, 34%D)
•Colorado: 1.4 million (36%D, 35% R)
•Florida: 4.4 million (40%D, 40%R)
•Georgia: 1.7 million (42%D, 53%R)
•Iowa: 500,000 (43%D, 35%R)
•Michigan: 856,000 (39%D, 36%R)
•North Carolina: 2.2 million (43%D, 32%R)
•Nevada: 611,000 (43%D, 37%R)
•Ohio: 1.3 million (48%D, 40%R)
•Pennsylvania: 135,000 (48%R, 42%D)
•Virginia: 360,000 (51%D, 38%R)
•Wisconsin: 446,000 (51%, 37%R)"

Well, based on the Harvard men's soccer standard, Kepler's season will be suspended because of his past "reviews" of Megyn Kelley and Rachel Maddow. ;) :D

I was thinking depending how explosive Kelly's allegations are Roger Ailes might want to hire somebody to start his car every morning for him after Kepler reads that book! ;)

Friday before the election is traditionally the day--> What are the chances that a "bombshell" (defining the term very liberally) drops by 5pm today?

I guarantee it. And I don't know which side it will be on. Maybe both.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIV: Both candidates are the same, but here's why yours is aw

I assume the % in your post Rover is how they identify politically not the number who actually voted that way?

This Guy At WaPo Seems to Get It

Let’s take the FBI case as just one example. You have a situation where a group of FBI agents is in direct conflict with prosecutors who believe the agents have a weak case in their attempt to find evidence of corruption that can be used against Clinton. The agents, in an atrocious violation of FBI policy against injecting the Bureau into an election, begin leaking dark innuendo to reporters. That convinces the FBI director that he has no choice but to go public with the fact that the Bureau is looking at some emails that might or might not have something to do with Clinton, though no one has actually read them. That news lands like a bombshell, despite its complete lack of substance.

And then it turns out that these agents are basing their investigation on a book called “Clinton Cash” by Peter Schweizer. Schweizer is the president of the Government Accountability Institute, an organization co-founded and chaired by Steve Bannon. Who is the CEO of the Drumpf campaign.

And please, spare me any explanations for this phenomenon that rely on how “divided” Americans are. Are we divided? Sure. But there’s only one party that is so vigorously undermining core democratic institutions in this way. You may not like what Democrats stand for, but they aren’t engaging in widespread official vote suppression, chanting that should their candidate win her opponent should be tossed in jail, promising to prevent any Republican president from filling vacancies on the Supreme Court, suggesting that they’ll try to impeach their opponent as soon as he takes office, cheering when a hostile foreign power hacks into American electronic systems, and trying to use the FBI to win the election.

Only one party is doing all of that. And we should all be very worried about what Republicans will do after November 8, whether they win or lose.

I have said for months, this isnt a Left/Right thing...this is about what you think America stands for at its core. If you think Drumpf and his cronies parallel what this country is all about fine...but I question if you actually know what is great about this country...

Don't ****, get out and do some volunteering! Phone bank to encourage people to get out and vote in key states.

Dr. Mrs. and I will be canvassing in central PA (York) this weekend. Into the belly of the beast to try to change some minds and appeal to some consciences.

Before you go, call these guys and drop my name. They'll hook you up with a discount. ;) :D

I always wonder how I would deal with being harassed when voting. It will never happen, I suppose, as we are pretty solidly Democratic in Ann Arbor. But I figure I would get right back in their face. Make sure my wife is recording it, and see if I can convince them to punch me. That would really illustrate how terrible those idiots are.

I'm a middle aged white man with conservative haircut and clothing. I could infiltrate.

Imagine the ratings if you put it on Fox! You could have Joe Buck call it and the winner gets to shoot him ;)

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIV: Both candidates are the same, but here's why yours is aw

Your vote might be important since you're in CD2. My vote was meaningless, so I voted for the candidate who best represented my values. Me.

But do you trust him?
