Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Trump says Ashton Carter sucks at his job because we kept telling everyone about attacking Mosul, thus losing the element of surprise. Here he is discussing his thinking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8tfuAa1zHU

So it wasnt enough that the moderators at two seperate debates (including Faux's Chris Wallace) told him he is off about this whole idea...he just keeps going? Its a bold strategy Cotton...

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Hillary has already won the presidency. Very very bigly. Everything else you hear between now and election day about THE POLLZ from Limbaugh, Hannity, HuffPost, Alternet, or anyone else with an agenda is just a Get Out The Vote campaign for the undercards.

And yet you have learned NOTHING!

I mean, you just went and told everyone what's in the video ahead of time!!! What a disaster! Everyone sees it coming! Sad!!!

Ever hear of a little something called THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE?!? Huh? How about that???

You know, back when General George Patton and Douglas MacArthur were posting videos here, they didn't just blurt out the content and tell everyone what it was about ahead of time. No one knew! SURPRISE LINKS!!! Just had to click and take your chances!

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

I'm intrigued by your work on the "Trump TV" lineup.

- Howard Stern - mornings? Or is there some other morning possibility I'm missing?
- O'Reilly radio show -- Trump would have to convince him to resurrect radio
- Rush Limbaugh - noon to 3 eastern <-- just simulcast the radio
- Hannity - 3-6 eastern <-- just simulcast the radio
- Dobbs - 6-8 eastern
- O'Reilly - 8-9 eastern
- Hannity TV - 9-10 eastern
- "Buy Gold" infomercials from say midnight until Stern in the morning

My only question is this -- Can Trump buy out O'Reilly's contract at Fox to put him on between Stern and Limbaugh in the mornings and a TV show on at 8 eastern. ;)

PS - In that outlandish scenario triggered by Handy, Fox's ratings tank to MSNBC/CNN levels. Megyn Kelly won't keep that ship afloat without O'Reilly and Hannity (no matter how much Kep may tune in and turn down the volume).

LATE EDIT: I can't believe there's not a space for "Deplorable" Alex Jones in the Trump TV lineup. ;)

You HAVE to include Michael Savage in here somewhere... there's no bigger Trump cheerleader than him. Same goes for Alex Jones.

Like he needs to tell them...the "protectors" will all be armed just cause.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this...I highly doubt any polling place lets them within a hundred yards of them but if they do...I could see some really bad stuff happening. Voter fraud (which would result) could be the least of our worries
I have a feeling this will be tried up here. Problem is the vast majority of polling places are schools so if they do show up they'll be arrested on the spot.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

You may, but I'm struck by the notion that, given your rhetoric, which continually attaches all the most filthy, disgusting, and vile things you can possibly think of to Trump and his followers, when you just casually toss out the accusation it is clear (but perhaps not to you) that what you are doing without any compunction whatsoever is, from your point of view, tagging the accused with all the most filthy, disgusting, and vile slurs you could possibly ever come up with all at once.

It's not a particularly kind practice, but do carry on.

What I will say to that is Republicans, especially the so called normal ones, have enabled the nutters for so long that they deserve, as punishment or whatnot, to be linked in with the Trumpsters. The dude didn't come out of nowhere. He came out of decades of conservative GOP policies. So, while poster X or Conservative Y may say they're horrified with Trump, and would never vote for him perhaps that's correct. However, if in the next breath they tell you the Clintons had half of Arkansas whacked to cover up various crimes, or that "both sides do it" or other such nonsense, then they're acting as Trump enablers even if they don't support the man himself. At this point it becomes a distinction without a difference, so without being able to read every righty's mind they all need to be held to account. In my experience, most of the Republicans that Kepler longs for have already left the party (think Yankee Republicans to use one example).

Some of the schools are actually cancelling classes while votes go on.

Good Lord! You mean Savage is still on the air? (Sorry, I'm out of touch.)

Well, actually I agree then. You can't just make it Fox II. Go all in. And get Art Bell to do late night. Provided... I mean... I don't know... but I'm assuming the Aliens or the CIA have given him back by now?

This post is just winning...bigly winning...YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE WINNING! :D

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Hillary has already won the presidency. Very very bigly.

We'll see how bigly.

2012 3.9
2008 7.2

Right now she looks about 6.0-6.5 up. So will she beat the 2008 margin? By all rights she ought to. What about Hubby?

1996 8.5
1992 5.6

If she floors it maybe she can win household bragging rights.

Every one of those Alex Jones-type guys owes Art Bell half his paycheck. He was working in the trenches before it was cool to allow completely insane people unscreened on air. He was also awesome.

“And I’m there for him every time he needs me. And I might join him,” she said, referring to the campaign trail as Election Day nears. “We will see.”

“She’s actually going to make two or three speeches,” Donald Trump announced.

“Oh,” a startled Melania Trump interjected, prompting ABC’s George Stephanopoulos to observe he “made some news right there.”

My favorite part:

“Well, it is. It’s, it’s — she’s amazing when she speaks,” Donald Trump said. “She’s an amazing public speaker so she’s agreed to do two or three speeches, and I think it’s going to be big speeches, important speeches, and I think it’s gonna be great.”

I seriously can't make it through that without laughing.

The pure genius in realizing the enormous entertainment value of simply deciding to take every single person completely at their word is magnificent.
