AIDE: A new Bloomberg poll's in... Hillary's beating you by 12.
TRUMP: Time to get serious. I'm gonna tell everyone I've never jerked off
[crawl: "Trump: I've Never Masturbated"]
TRUMP: I would never do that to myself. I'll say this: I suspect I would be very, very good at it

CHRISTIE: The polls are looking pretty bad
TRUMP: I'm going to accuse our veterans of stealing

TRUMP: Here's my next attack.
CHRISTIE: (reads) "Hillary did Skittles?"
TRUMP: Right.
CHRISTIE: The candy?
TRUMP: Look, don't overthink it
CHRISTIE: What does "Hillary did Skittles" mean?
TRUMP: Skittle Hillary, I'll call her. Terrific.
CHRISTIE: Donald--
TRUMP: Just tweeted it

CHRISTIE: You're not well, Don.
TRUMP: (typing) Skittle Hillary will hate this!
CHRISTIE: What are you doing?
TRUMP: I'm insulting the moon

TRUMP: (typing) Name one thing it's done, the moon. Pff. Ridiculous!
CHRISTIE: (to aide) Call a hospital.
TRUMP: I'm going to win California

CHRISTIE: You're broke?!
TRUMP: Don't worry. I'll call myself 'the king of debt.' That'll turn things around.
CHRISTIE: [eyes open window]

TRUMP: You ever notice Hillary's eyes are the same color? Suspicious. There's something going on there.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XVI: KICK THE BABY!

Best news for the Trump campaign?

The Summer Olympics will dominate the news cycle for the next 10 days.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XVI: KICK THE BABY!

To Maize's point, Hillary is qualified to be president. Her history shows that, without a doubt. The stats of her duties/offices/experience supports that claim. Whether or not she'd be a GOOD president is what is up for debate.

I stand by my prior statement: I prefer former Governors as President. You get a chance to see how they lead a branch of government and interact with the other two branches. You've also had a chance to see their style in crisis management and day-to-day operations.

Mrs. Clinton has an impressive resume, but she's always had a backstop. She's never had a "buck stops here" job. Even as SecState she had a boss. Her minimal experience in the private sector is also concerning to me.

Mr. Trump has led organizations, but not where he's had checks and balances to stop his ... deal making. His complete lack of public sector experience makes the ability to know his style in crisis management or day-to-day governmental operations a complete enigma.

But, these are the candidates the major parties have given us.

"In a democracy people get the leaders they deserve." - Joseph de Maistre

I'm voting Johnson/Weld and hope someone, anyone, takes notice.

Donald Drumpf never watches the Olympics...but if he did he would watch it and support it better than anyone ever has!!

I don't think any candidate in your lifetime has had as much experience, both direct and indirect, which is relevant to the duties of POTUS as HRC has. Experience as governor is also evidence of fitness, as was the case with GWB.

I don't deny that. What I find lacking is the experience as chief executive* and some significant private sector experience.

*Being a cabinet head is an important role, but as I said, you still have a boss. Governors are chief executives with no backstop. I'm not big on Senators going to the White House (unless they've been a Governor).

Worst President of my lifetime and arguably ever was the Governor of one of the largest States in the Union.

Again, if one does their work, and look into their positions, they are no more qualified than anyone else.

Certainly not an option for the left- either far or near, not a good option for the right (maybe for some of the extremes)- just based on their positions.

Just because they are not Trump or Clinton, they are not automatically more qualified.

Examples of former governors since FDR who proved to be good presidents?

Here's a cookie. :)

Versus time in Senate alone? Maybe slight edge in terms of governor...assuming said senator doesn't have too much leadership experience. Keep in mind that Georgia governors just don't know anything about farmers in Kansas...and Hispanic Miami...Wall Street or the oil fields of Alaska. They don't work on cross state issues, really. They know nothing of foreign affairs or the concerns of American business overseas. While not perfect, a senator has worked on issues addressing all of these and discussed matters with those who are experts to get them perspectives to enact national legislation. The comparison is much closer than I believe you give credit.

And regarding Clinton, she was in the backseat of a presidency for eight years (more if you give some credit for the Obama admin).

I'm still amused about how the "biased liberal media" will never play up a story as being positive for Clinton. So today jobs came in a lot higher than expected. Not a peep about this "validating Obama's economic stewardship" or "helping Hillary make her case" BUT when GDP was too low a couple of weeks ago we were being told to get used to saying "President Trump."

I don't know if you have to log into Facebook to read this, but Patton Oswalt did a post concerning a conversation he had with a psychologist friend, and they were discussing Trump. It's a good quick read.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XVI: KICK THE BABY!

Hillary now at 81.7% polls only, 92.9% NowCast. AZ and GA are now legitimate toss-ups.

One week ago this election was 50/50.
