No, I pretty much think they're idiots too. The fact that their idiocy was able to find a lawyer to take the case is the major downfall here.

For me I'm not going to pull a Trump and blast grieving parents. A lot of victims of a tragedy want to believe a larger evil conspiracy behind it. So be it. However, you need not exploit them for political gain. Klayman is like the stuff you scrape off the bottom of your shoes.

This. So much this.

There's a big difference between these grieving parents and the Khan's. You don't see the Khan's blaming their son's death on their government. When you volunteer for the military or for service in Libya you are taking a risk. To blame your government after the fact is an admission that you were delusional enough to think the risk wasn't real.

Some of them went to the GOP Convention and made a spectacle of themselves giving speeches and endorsing Drumpf...sorry but it is one thing to harbor anger and ill will we can all understand that. This goes beyond that though...

edit: Scooby (again) nails it. Talk about your false equivalencies. Drumpf attacked a Gold Star family cause they challenged him. These parents are not only actively publicly speaking on Drumpf's behalf but suing the former Secretary of State. They arent posting conspiracy videos on youtube or going on Alex Jones they are seeking headlines, speaking at conventions and want Hillary Clinton's head on a stick.

So now let's suggest assassination.

In a speech delivered Tuesday afternoon, Donald Trump implied that “Second Amendment people” could prevent Hillary Clinton from picking Supreme Court justices if she’s elected president.
“Hillary wants to abolish. . . the Second Amendment,” Trump said in Wilmington, N.C., before speaking about filling an empty seat on the Supreme Court. “By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know.”

Trump got a vote in our poll. Someone needs to step up and explain the thinking behind that one.

Trump looked sad and lonely not having a single vote so someone (not me) stepped up to give him a USCHO hug?

Well, it is Tuesday. Had to go crazy again after being dragged back in Friday night to endorse McCain and Ryan.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XVI: KICK THE BABY!

Sorry if this was already noted:

50 GOP national security experts oppose Trump

Fifty prominent Republican foreign policy and national security experts -- many veterans of George W. Bush's administration -- have signed a letter denouncing Donald Trump's presidential candidacy and pledging not to vote for him.

The letter, first reported by The New York Times Monday, warns: "We are convinced that in the Oval Office, he would be the most reckless President in American history."

Its signatories include former CIA and National Security Agency Director Michael Hayden, former Director of National Intelligence and Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte and Eric Edelman, who was Vice President Dick Cheney's national security adviser and has worked closely with Michele Flournoy -- a candidate for secretary of defense in a prospective Clinton administration -- to forge a centrist group of defense experts on key military issues.

This whole thing has to be a huge effing gotcha right?

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XVI: KICK THE BABY!

Small potatoes compared to Drumpf channeling Sharon Angle (of "second amendment remedies" fame), but former NYC Mayor Noun-Verb-9/11 uncorked this one today: people elected Obama "who has never built a building or a golf course in his entire life."

Also worth noting, a PPP poll after Trump called HRC "the devil" found that 41% of Trump supporters believe Clinton is indeed the devil. And another 17% are not sure. This isn't really shocking given the numbers of GOTPers who believe Obama was born in Kenya, that man-impacted climate change is a hoax and that there is widespread voter fraud in the U.S.

Meh. That's a playground taunt. As a very public official, she should know better than to stoop to Trump's level, even if you and I can do it, and think it's funny.

I called him "Dangerous D-B@g Dishonest Don" on FB earlier, knowing that a Trumpster friend of my uncle would see it and probably raise his hackles. Said I was giving the playground bully a little taste of his own meds. It was immature as all hell, but it felt good. :)

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XVI: KICK THE BABY!

Aside from the outrage over Trump's implication that second amendment remedies might be one way to stop President Hillary Clinton from appointing liberal judges, it should be noted that once again Trump has offered proof that he has no clue about how our government functions.

Supreme Court justices have no role in repealing an amendment. A proposal is first made by two-thirds of both houses of Congress. Then, the proposal--actually a new amendment repealing an earlier one--must be ratified by three-quarters of the state legislatures or state conventions. It's time for one of the Trump kids to inform Daddy of how the process works. Better still, Dishonest Donald should take up Dr. Khan on his offer to loan him a copy of the Constitution.
