Going to see? We've already been getting them in Iowa for the better part of the whole farking year.

Fair enough. I'm sure MI has had some as well (though not nearly as many) - I use streaming services, and I don't watch network TV all that much

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XV: Before & After: Dancing in the Streets of Philadelphia!

Hillary's going to win, but I don't think she is going to have Obama's EV numbers. She is just too hated by the sort of old, white men who will come out in droves to vote, not necessarily for Trump, but against her. I predict she will lose Florida (too many old white people, and not enough retired New Yawker Jews to offset them), and maybe even Nevada, but as long as she hangs onto Ohio, Colorado, Virginia, and PA, that is all that really matters.

Colorado should be a piece of cake - Denver has been flooded with young liberals for years, even moreso since the green became legal. I don't understand how PA is currently considered a swing state, I guess Pennsyltucky really is a thing. Regardless, I don't see Trump flipping that one - it's been a blue state since 1992. Kaine and the flow of young liberal-ish DC stiffs into NoVA should lockup Virginia. Assuming she loses FL and NV, New Hampster does it's once-a-decade flip to red, and leaving Ohio undecided, I've got it at 259-261.

Ohio, you're going to see a political ad on TV every 2 minutes for the next 3 months. SorryNotSorry. :D

PA is a swing state in the eyes of the media desperate for a close race. If she's leading outside of the margin of error in composite polling, even with those wacky Quinnipiac polls thrown in, and PA has voted Dem in the last 6 Presidential contests, even voting for John freakin' Kerry, I fail to see how Trump swings it unless polling starts showing him with a solid lead.

Its like people claiming AZ or GA is a swing state. I'll believe it when I see it.

As far as Trump flipping states, I could maybe see FL even though the demographics aren't great because of the reasons you mention as well as its his adoptive home state at this point. Surprised at his strength in Nevada but geesh with all those Hispanics he needs to run the table amongst the old white retirees which I suppose he could do. His lack of ground game is going to kill him elsewhere though. In places like Ohio the Hillary machine is going to turn out voters in the cities, while Trump's no show GOTV operation will struggle reaching out to the more difficult rural areas to get them to the polls.

You want to discount voting for her because of lying, go ahead. Trump won't show his tax returns. That's lying by omission.

Sooo... you're the one who sucked in that relationship and that's why it ended?

Indubitably yes.

I am very, very happy with Dr. Mrs. and prefer her over anyone I ever met, read about, saw in a movie*, or dreamed about. However, had I been who I was when I met Dr. Mrs. when I met IA, she could well have been my Amaranta.

* You're close, Ramona Flowers. So close.

Also, I'll say again, Donald Trump won the primary because he perfectly represents the Republican party. Too many people want to claim it was a divided field or some such nonsense. In reality the nutter caucus (Trump-Cruz-Carson-etc) won like 2/3rds of the vote. The so called sane people (Kasich-Rubio-Jebbers!) got about 1/3rd if even that. Its like people want to convince themselves that Kasich would have beaten Trump one on one. Wake up already. If Trump didn't win Cruz who's just as nuts would have.

No...but f it was a normal numbered primary my guess is Cruz wins not Drumpf.

The idea with PA and OH is that there's a vast untapped reservoir of raging white male id that's going to be drawn to Trump like iron filings to a magnet.

But were that true, why didn't we see them in 2008 and 2012 when the Democrat was a you-know-what?

The GOP may already be at Peak racist. If anything, the Republicans may have to worry that they are about lose the literal poster-child of their GOTV efforts.

Obama Is Telling the GOP to Walk Away

“The question they have to ask themselves is: If you are repeatedly having to say in very strong terms that what he has said is unacceptable, why are you still endorsing him?” Mr. Obama said at a news conference at the White House.

“This isn’t a situation where you have an episodic gaffe. This is daily,” Mr. Obama added. “There has to be a point at which you say, this is not somebody I can support for president of the United States, even if he purports to be a member of my party. The fact that that has not yet happened makes some of these denunciations ring hollow.”y having to say in very strong terms that what he has said is unacceptable, why are you still endorsing him?” Mr. Obama said at a news conference at the White House.

Like the GOP is going to take advice from a Socialistic Kenyan Muslim. ROTFLMAO.

I don't see her as particularly paranoid, so no.

If all you're saying she's had some self-inflicted damage, I'll agree to that. But then show me a politician who hasn't.

Hillary's intense distrust of the media hasn't gotten much play because, well, look at the other guy, but it's definitely a real thing. I still think she's by far the most qualified person for the office--especially at this point in the game--but amidst all the good I think she can do as President, I don't have particularly high hopes for the level of transparency in her administration. If that's the excuse people want to couch their dislike of her as some kind of rational choice, so be it.

Then why did she have Vince Foster killed?

So much evidence of so many evil deeds. I just hope some day, some hero finally has the desire to try to catch her.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XV: Before & After: Dancing in the Streets of Philadelphia!

Clinton campaign is doing something smart but annoying. I'd love to see her call out Weasel Paul Ryan and Itch McConnell by name as Trump lovin' deviants. However, her campaign is doing the right thing. Just focus on Trump and nobody else with a magnanimous call for everyone to join together and defeat his idiocy. That will have the residual effect of having all Goopers go down in flames with him, while at the same time not antagonizing some rightly voters in an effort to get them to switch sides. Won't have a major effect buy anybody you chip off is a positive.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XV: Before & After: Dancing in the Streets of Philadelphia!

The DCCC and the DSCC should corner every vulnerable R incumbent and pound them every day about whether they endorse Trump. It's a no-win situation for those poor saps. If they endorse they own every hateful and despicable thing Trump emits. If they renounce Trump the base treats them as RINOs and the NRC then has its own dilemma whether to back them. If they mealy-mouth it like Ayotte with "endorse but don't support" (what?!) then everybody on both sides laughs at their craven hypocrisy.

I'm not sure what it takes to be a Trump spokesperson, keep a straight face in front of the press, and still sleep at night. Brass balls? Soullessness? Craven abdication of morality? Sociopathy? Unlimited access to scotch and benzodiazepines?
