Do you have to capitalize every other word in your posts?

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XV: Before & After: Dancing in the Streets of Philadelphia!

Correct.

And after this conversation we've had in here and many others I've had I hope Trump wins. I won't vote for him but I do hope he wins. Why? Because he's exactly what America deserves.

Don't be dramatic and stupid.

I'd say it's more the whining of a petulant child than anything else, which often brings stupidity with it.

I heard the same argument made when we elected Dubya, and it was nonsense then too. When democracies elect spectacularly stupid and reckless leaders, it is always the most vulnerable who suffer the most. They don't "deserve" the disaster that happens when people neglect their duty as citizens.

I'd agree with that. In '04 we knew Dubya was spectacularly dumb and reckless (and weak in his willingness to be influenced by his VP and SecDef), but how would you asses him in '00, from a voter's standpoint. He was obviously the same man as he was four years later, but how much notice did we have then of the catastrophic decisions he was to make later?

None...he was talked down because he was obviously using his name to get elected.

And look at Scooby blaming Nader again...you know what makes Nader meaningless, if Gore could win his home state. Classic Democrat it is everyone's fault but there own.

And what was Kerry's fault? Hmmmm.................What?

Bernie did the right thing. Bernie is a patriot. Nader is the epitome of evil.

...yet some say, well at least we'll learn our lesson for once and for all. So how are the W lessons working out?
____________

In other news, Trump says Russia will not go into Ukraine. As Stephanopoulos said...Russia's already in Ukraine (Crimea). Trumps response 'OK -- well, he's there in a certain way. But I'm not there. You have Obama there. And frankly, that whole part of the world is a mess under Obama with all the strength that you're talking about and all of the power of NATO and all of this. In the meantime, he's going away. He takes Crimea.'

When asked if he might recognize Russia's claim to Crimea, Trump said 'I'm going to take a look at it. But you know, the people of Crimea, from what I've heard, would rather be with Russia than where they were. And as far as the Ukraine is concerned, it's a mess. And that's under the Obama's administration with his strong ties to NATO. So with all of these strong ties to NATO, Ukraine is a mess. Crimea has been taken. Don't blame Donald Trump for that.'

When asked about whether he has a personal relationship with Putin, Trump said ' I have no relationship with Putin," Trump said. 'Just so you understand, he said very nice things about me. But I have no relationship with him. I don't -- I've never met him', although over the past year he said 'I got to know him very well because we were both on '60 Minutes,' we were stablemates.'

If I was the Clinton campaign I would switch my message to 'Trump is in bed with Russia'. I could see that as currently the most damaging sound bite.

Kerry had the personality of a tree stump and it's tough to beat an incumbent. Just look at all the idiots in Congress

Gary Johnson wants to implement to "fair tax," privatize all healthcare, eliminate the dept of Ed, cut the federal budget by 40%, and eliminate the Fed.

Yeah, Hillary is still the better choice over him, and it's not even close.

I guess you could say Gary Johnson is the third choice. Me? I believe it is Harambe 2016, polling higher than Jill Stein.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XV: Before & After: Dancing in the Streets of Philadelphia!

Yes. Yes. Yes. There are voters who really think Trump is the best candidate for them. There are voters who really think Hillary is the best candidate for them. There are voters who are voting independent because (insert candidate) is the best candidate for them.

And then there are people who see (D), (R), and (I) and vote just because of that designation. These people are the sheeple.

Not necessarily. As could be seen with the Bush/Gore election, there are differences between the political parties, you can see it in this election clearly. And some people know those differences and will vote by the letter that they know isn't bat**** crazy.

And a lot of people who are talking about voting Independent don't know a damm thing about the policies the Independent proposes, all they know are they aren't a D or an R.

I'm giving America a pass on 2000. For one thing, they stole the election. But more importantly there was little warning of just how cowardly and amoral Dubya and his people were.

I'm talking about 2004. That one's on the voters. Knowing what they were, those f-cksticks shouldn't have won in their own families.

Well, he pretty clearly said before being elected, if he earned political capital, he was going to use it. Basically, that unlike his dad, if he got the chance to take out Hussein, he was going to do it.

Kerry lost too. I was asking if that was the Democrats fault since 2000 apparently was.

Who am I? What do I have to with Nader? I was drawing a comparison between him and Bernie Sanders.

And just 12 years ago. Although the demographics of the electorate are changing, it happened only 12 years ago.
