Keep the story handy so when a few of the Righties in here (you know the ones who "arent voting for Trump") talk about the media you can repost it. Also, when some numbnuts talks about the media conspiracy on FB (you know the type) you have it at the ready :D

The media will keep covering Trump just like you can't stop yourself from slowing down to look at an accident. It's pretty much the same thing.

Fascinating discussion with campaign managers/staff of 3 losing candidates talking about the race...

Oh my god, that url is amazing. I don't think I've ever said that about a url.

ETA: A few minutes in to that article, I'm quickly realizing I need more time than a quick lunch break to read and digest that.

Thanks for posting

But the Republican mantra about Obama has been that this guy is an out-of-control executive, doing unconstitutional things. How can you then turn around and say, “You know, the system will restrain Trump”?

Because Republicans control themselves. We police ourselves better.

Couple of notes...

On a larger scale, it's interesting to see another example of a big mouthed bully not be able to stand up to what he dishes out. What a petulant child.

On a local scale- Trump gets off by being politically incorrect. But the second someone hurts his feelings by WORDS, he gets upset. Might it be time for one to actually look at their word choices, considering how sensitive they are to others words? Geez. For all the people who claim that words don't matter- to Trump, and anyone who wants to get into a fight over being called something- apparently they actually do.

He's not upset. He's just playing the bully game. Beat them down til they come crawling to him begging to be let back into his good graces. See Chris Christie and L'il Marco for other examples.

The way to make him upset is to stand up to him and call him on his BS, his thin skin, and his astonishing lack of business acumen. Like Elizabeth Warren and Hillary have been doing. The Post should say, "fine, eff u" and keep writing what they've been doing.

What I found to be stunning is how two of the campaigns knew there were in trouble vs Trump on Labor Day?!?! One guy was saying how his polling amongst everybody always had a floor of 25-30%. The 3rd campaign (the Cruz guy maybe) had it at when Trump won Nevada. That's interesting to me because the media anointed Trump's 2nd place finish in Iowa as a loss to 3rd place Rubio, then made barely a mention of his Nevada win.

For me, it was SC when I realized it would be Trump instead of Calgary Ted. At that point he had finished 2nd in a state that favors Fundies, then he won NH, NV, and SC. The Northeast, the West and the South even though 4 other candidates (Jebbers!, Rubio, Cruz and Huckleberry) were from the region. He had national appeal, while the rest were fighting for scraps.

Bully or upset- being a brat to deny press coverage to groups that don't make him look good is incredibly lame and hypocritical.

Who watches the watchers.

Other watchers. That's why there are so many.

The larger problem is how corporations have taken over the news agencies- so making money selling entertainment news is better than just reporting the news. Fox, Disney, Xomcast, etc- are all in it for the money. That sucks.

Our dear "friend", Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and his minions have apparently hacked the DNC computers and stolen a whole lot of stuff.

Russian government hackers penetrated the computer network of the Democratic National Committee and gained access to the entire database of opposition research on GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, according to committee officials and security experts who responded to the breach.

The intruders so thoroughly compromised the DNC’s system that they also were able to read all email and chat traffic, said DNC officials and the security experts.

Independent news agencies were all in it for the money, too. The only thing that's changed is the name on the paycheck. Newspapers would report what their readers wanted. Local news broadcasts gave their listeners or viewers what they wanted. It just so happens that we used to crave real news, and then something in the public changed. Too many of us wanted fluff and stopped paying attention to the hard news. So the news media adapted to increase circulation, viewership, listeners, etc., depending upon the format. Unless a news agency sets an agenda as an experiment - Fox News with its conservative slant from day one, MSNBC with its liberal slant from day 7,300 - they will all serve their interest of earning money. A news agency not earning money is a news agency on borrowed time.

But the former SecState's home email server? Secure. ;)

Or you get these small "news outlets" like Alex Jones, Glenn Beck, or pick your favorites from the other political view that claim to really have the story and the truth. They are all agenda and dollars too.

I'm fine with the partisan slant on news agencies. That's what happens. Newspapers have been that way since always.

But talking about shows on TV during the news is not news. And that feeds into the reality TV show slant of Trump, as I see it.

Since the TV channels know that there's not much money from Trump advertising directly or moreso from PAC's- they cover him more live an entertainer than a politician. And that generates viewers and money.
