Campaign 2016 Part XII: What Have We Done To Deserve This?

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XII: What Have We Done To Deserve This?

When I dealt with classified in the mid to late 1990s if I'd have handled it the way Mrs. Clinton handled classified I'd just be getting out of jail.

If nonsensical postings were a crime, you'd be on death row right now. :D

Hillary's e-mail issue is an archiving procedure violation. Nothing more. If I'm getting audited, and it turns out I didn't turn over some data, and also didn't back it up, I may be in for nasty mention in the auditors report. Maybe some extra training. At worst I'd get canned. If I produced the data from a different source (say I e-mailed the file to someone else before I deleted my own version) and it was turned over that way, there'd be no issue at all. Regardless, none of this would get me hauled out of the office in handcuffs.

Moving on, can anybody see the absurdity of blaming a wife for her husband's cheating? Especially when the person doing the blaming is onto his 3rd trophy wife? Does Trump really want to have that debate in front of millions of people?

Trump is doomed. Only in fantasyland do we see a Trump Presidency.

Do you not understand the absurdity of national politics? Trump won't likely make the direct attack, but some group will run attack ads in certain regions of this country. They won't work, the Shrill One will be POTUS, but it'll come into play.

It'll come into play and it'll backfire. Its one of the stupider attack strategies I've ever seen. If cheating didn't harm Bill Clinton with the public, why would it harm his wife who is the wronged party in all of this? People, including many a USCHO poster, are trying too hard to talk themselves into a "Donald has a chance" mindset. I would also mention to you that your suggestion that Trump likely won't make a direct attack flies in the face of all evidence that we have about the man thus far. ;)

All Donald does is make direct attacks

Nice hyperbole. So, tell me Rover, what was your clearance and what information did you handle? Me? Nuclear Navy: Secret, and C-NSI, and C-RD. I know what the penalties were.

Using a device not password protected. Using an unapproved device. Generating classified on an unsecured device. Those are not "archiving" issues.

More to the point about Trump, I should've said that he wouldn't lead that attack. Instead there would be hints about it in completely unsubtle misogynistic jokes, and then once the attack ads are out there and sees that they've failed, he'll either keep with the jokes or abandon them. He'll have official Party backing by then, and a long list of lackeys and stooges to take some of the brunt for him. He's a crude, base man, but he's not an idiot when it comes to selling himself. The only reason he's where he is now is through salesmanship because there's not yet been a single topic of substance he's answered with anything beyond Don't worry about it, I'm going to make it better. It'll be the best.

Not to mention the vast majority of the country was effing sick of hearing about it back in 1999. Why would digging up those old bones (pun not intended) in 2016 be any different?

The rules for the unwashed are NOT the same as the rules for the Clintons

For me the stuff I sent to the Feds was financial institution related as a result of recent changes in regulation, including Dodd-Frank. Not the same as nuclear secrets obviously, but a set of rules you had to follow and make sure you didn't screw up.

Where you're full of bull is the part about generating classified documents on an unsecured device. Hillary generated nothing classified herself, and all things she did forward on weren't labeled classified when she forwarded them. If you think we should indict people for using a device without a password, simply put you're a loon (and do we know this actually happened?).

Hillary's issue is a procedural one. If you don't follow proper procedures, you get a warning. You get "written up". You may get fired. You don't go to jail for not having a password on your phone.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XII: What Have We Done To Deserve This?

what primary was last night? how did hilly get over the threshold last night that is generating the headlines today that she is over the top?

That is not classified national security information. That's what someone's SSN or mortgage payment is.

I hope you're not thinking national intelligence sources and methods are comparable to someone getting a low, low introductory APR under 3%.

Puerto Rico was Sunday. Somehow they've only counted 2/3 of the vote their. I think the AP found more supers that said they would vote for Hillary to give it to her, so she didn't technically win, but is presumptive.

Story on the price of Hillary's jacket (12.5k) from April is big news today for whatever reason.

I've gone into Saks Fifth Ave a couple times just to look around and see how exorbitant the prices are, and I don't get it. There were baby clothes for $200! I guess that's just what you do when you have F You money.

Sic sez:

But ROVER posted previously:

Did you lose your government job due to lack of reading comprehension? FWIW I wasn't sending the Feds mortgage offers but you seem a bit uninformed about the federal regulations affecting the finance industry.

Show me the national security secrets divulged by Hillary. The problem with the Joe McCarthy type tactics you're trying to employ ("this guy attended a commie meeting 20 years ago while in college. He must be selling secrets to the Soviets now!!!") is that Joe McCarthy already existed and we can all recognize the pattern already. You're 65 years too late to the party Sic.

So, if Hillary used her private e-mail to send special forces troop movements to AQ, she's in a lot of trouble. If she's sending Sid Blumenthal missives around for review, the whole thing is laughable. From what we know so far, its the latter.

Same thing that happened with Trump ironically. Unbound delegates (supers for Hillary, the North Dakota delegation for Trump) declared allegiance between primaries. I believe the AP canvased all the Supers and found and extra 25 or so to commit.

Its all over but the crying tonight anyway.

1. I'd love to, but then I'd be guilty of mishandling classified. ;)
2. It's the Minneapolis Star-Tribune applying McCarthy tactics by asking Mrs. Clinton to come and clear the air. (See link I provided yesterday.)

1) Translation: you're busted and you know it!
2) So the Post was calling for criminal charges? Have to say I missed that. Keep trying Joe, and I'm sorry about that hit piece Edward R Murrow did on you back in the day. :D

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XII: What Have We Done To Deserve This?

Moving on, a surprisingly good article. How you can you denounce Trump for racism and then re-affirm your support for the man? Good luck with that Goopers...

There is an alternative for Republicans which is the libertarian ticket. Its made up of two former GOP governors so one would think that's more acceptable than the Green Party nominee for conservatives who aren't standing members in the KKK.
