Campaign 2016 Part XII: What Have We Done To Deserve This?

Yeah, but your super-delegates were already "assigned".

As were many. Super Delegates have their own minds and their own vote. I personally don't understand the problem. Even so, Mrs. Clinton has more pledged delegates and more votes. There's no conspiracy.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XII: What Have We Done To Deserve This?

I was amazed to see the recent Minneapolis (Red) Star-Tribune editorial calling out Mrs. Clinton for not clearing the air about her emails.

Has the STrib ... Berned?

More likely than not they're trying to insulate themselves from charges of "bias" by flogging this dead horse of a story. Then when the knucks' start complaining about a different issue they can point to this editorial and say "See, we cover both sides!" Both the NYT and WaPo are famous for this.

Behold! Ted Cruz in third grade.

Even though his father should be jailed for programming his child as a walking, talking conservadope talking point dispenser (again, like Ted Cruz), he does show a remarkable degree of self-awareness:

While school district officials cited Autry's hat as the cause of those incidents, the young Trump supporter has other ideas about was sparked his classmates' hostility.

"I still want to keep my hat. It's not the hat that draws attention, it's just my personality that the other children do not like," he told KFSN.

I seem to recall reading Trump signed the hat, but the dog then chewed it up.

But by making this "CYA" move to be able to make a "we cover both" claim, aren't they admitting they have to do such things to cover-up their biases?

Probably, but if you give enough credence to right wing talking points eventually you're overcompensating.

Goopers God bless them learned this a long time ago. Accuse the lamestream media of bias, and then get the stories you want planted in their coverage. Then if they cover your stories like you wanted them to....STILL accuse them of bias! Then they'll print even more of your stories (see "award winning journalist" Judith Miller - who worked for the Times). Works like a charm.

The problem righties didn't anticipate is that the public would just stop watching or reading traditional media outlets. Newspaper circulation is in the toilet. Network nightly news is all old people for viewers. CNN is down to friends and family of the hosts and guests. The public has done this because mainstream news is crap. Its sorta like a scalper buying up all the tix for that big Barry Manilow concert in order to price gouge the public, only to find out there's no actual market for what the man is selling because the act in question is really, really dated.

Huh. My school didn't even let us wear hats. I figured that was just universal.

Kind of irrelevant what's going on on the Democratic side when you have an overt racist being nominated by the party of Lincoln.

While the ABCNews.com part seemed legit, the .co after .com was the red flag to me.

Lots of spam sites trying to imitate legit news corps, but because of the offshore domain names (and likely offshore web hosting), they're hard to stop.

This is why Mookie is against offshore website drilling and wants the us to become internally innernet dependent

The comment about Liz is spot on.

My God, he can put a bullet in a man's brain without effort or scruple:

From time to time David Brooks sends us this or that thing by Reinhold Niebuhr. They're acknowledged with the usual card.

But an obvious imposter makes this statement about BernieBros:

I don’t buy that Trump automatically helps Clinton, either. You’ll certainly get people crossing the aisle to stop the bigot and boor, but relying on that is dumb. It also ignores the clear overlap between Trump and Sanders voters.

Conscript mistake unworthy of a seasoned professional soldier. Trump's F/U with Sanders supporters: 6% Favorable, 90% Unfavorable.

Yes, Dick well knew that Americans are innumerate coiled snakes of emotion, but some numbers are just too tough to make the nut.

?

Hats were OK in my school. Then again, it was the 70s. Pretty much everything was OK except showing your nipples or your as-s crack.

The teachers in my high school dressed sexier than kids today do.

I was in high school during the early 90s. Hats were fine for us too. Grunge ruled the day, so the girls didn't dress very **** at all compared to today's youth.

The teachers dressed fairly conservatively. Still, that didn't stop a friend of mine from telling our chemistry teacher that he'd like to "rearrange her periodic table" while in the halls between classes. Shockingly, he did not get a detention from this, but a withering look was returned. The anger just made her look hotter.
