Campaign 2016 Part XI: the Two Party Problem

I think he'd do that if he was already the nominee purely to get good press. "Look, I'm not a monster! I talked to a transgender kid!!!". Right now though he sees an opening vs Trump who said Caitlin Jenner can use whatever bathroom feels more comfortable if on one of Trump's properties. Unfortunately for Calgary Ted we're out of Deep South and Plains states primaries IIRC.
Republican Oregon and Republican Indiana isn't too different from the South.

15 miles from Ithaca in upstate NY isn't too different from the South. It's not like talk radio is only big in red states. There are huge red swathes of blue states, too. Just as I'm sure there are solid blue college towns and cities in all red states.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XI: the Two Party Problem

I heard Kasich is already backtracking, but this is stark raving stupid. Trump is at 845 delegates, and he's poised to crush it tomorrow in the Northeast. IF he walks out of April with 1000 delegates, the race is over. Consider that he's also going to win the 51 in winner take all New Jersey, and he either captures the nomination outright after he sweeps California or he's so close that some of the unbound delegates get on board to give him the handful of extra votes that he needs. If he wins Indiana it could be over before that.

Stupid or desperate?

I don't think it's going to work, but it's a theoretical way to stop Drumpf. I don't see any others.

Which is exactly why I've been saying the Goopers just need to let it ride. Either Trump self destructs, or he's your nominee. No amount of backroom dealing is going to stop that. Only Trump stops Trump at this point.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XI: the Two Party Problem

I don't get it either but since you brought him up voting for Sanders today made me feel great.

That's cool and I'm glad you got a chance. As I said before Sanders has every right to stay in this thing until Hillary secures a majority of pledged delegates which most likely won't happen until CA, etc on June 7th.

Oddly enough that will make the last 2 Dem primary races (non-incumbent) going all the way to the last states.
