Campaign 2016 - It's never too late to start all over again!

Maybe put another way...there are candidates on either side that will be pretty much unelectable. As always, that makes up a majority of this cycle's candidates. And I think we have a pretty good idea of who they are.

Doesn't surprise me that a 19 year old student has a firmer grasp on history than Jeb. Neoconservativism doesn't admit its mistakes, it only demands more deaths.

He thinks we should still have boots on the ground in Iraq--unbelievable.

Re: Campaign 2016 - It's never too late to start all over again!

Well they arent his boots so why should he care?

All too believable. Even though we fumigated the White House, we never had a thorough de-Nazification. The Neocons are still hiding under rocks here and there, waiting.

No fumigation happened. We're still at war over there.

No, there's a difference. You and I don't agree with the way Obama is choosing to put out the fire the Neocons lit, but that doesn't make him an arsonist.

Heh Heh Heh...

No worries. He's going to be hearing about Iraq for a loooong time. Since Bush/Cheney aren't taking questions, Jebbers will be the one held to account, fairly or unfairly.

Jeb appeared to continue to answer a different question...what would he do if he knew what we did then. The question was what would he do if he knew what we know now. Pundits wanted to learn his foreign policy...whereas he kept wanting to make clear that he supports his brother.

It appears he'll skate by it this time. But this could well be strike one against him in regards to the W clone issue.

So, John Bolton is not running for President, which is good, because Ramsay Bolton is probably less dangerous or psychotic.

Wow. This post greatly disappoints me.

The war on women continues.

House Republicans yesterday made time for one of their top legislative priorities: a culture-war bill they know won’t become law. The Associated Press reported:

Republicans finally won House approval Wednesday for a late-term abortion ban after dropping rape provisions that provoked a rebellion by female GOP lawmakers, forcing party leaders into an embarrassing retreat.

The near party-line 242-184 vote marked a victory for anti-abortion lawmakers and organizations….House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, called the bill “the most pro-life legislation to ever come before this body,” adding, “We should all be proud to take this stand today.”

this version of a 20-week ban includes what is effectively a waiting period for rape victims – Congress wants to extend the time women have to consider whether they want to bear their rapist’s child – and instructs medical professionals on how they’re supposed to perform abortions.

That's what we're spending our time on.

They're going to play the three G's one last time before the curtain falls. I think it's the wrong strategy, but then again I'm not their target demographic. :)

Meh, I've never hidden how I feel about Richard Perle's Flying Circus. They're the real thing -- actual, not symbolic, fascists. They're a break in the typical continuity of American politics. The only one in our history, I think. Even the Dixiecrats belong somewhere on the rainbow of American homegrown politics, but the Neocons are something alien, who slipped through a door from another European dimension of radicalized political reaction.

It's not fair to call them Nazis, I'll admit, but they're from that same family which also gives the world the BNP, Golden Dawn, Jobbik, etc. and believes in an iron fist in an iron glove. They scare the bejesus out of me.

NY Times Opinion piece on the new Abortion legislation from the House. Good read.

Good article. The irony is that these "by any means necessary" tactics that Republicans use have nothing to do with actually reducing the number of abortions. They're about stoking up the rage in their base. "And the money kept pouring in." I'd like to say I'm surprised they'd stoop to hurting so many people in their pursuit of their political careers, but after the last 30 years nothing they do surprises me. :(

Sad thing is I'd support a 20 week ban in a heartbeat if they just put the logical exceptions in the legislation.

Well, here's all the proof I need to know the media (in it's entirety) is complicit in the crap we end up with in office.

War is a tough business...regardless of which war your fighting (e.g., ideas). Fighting is in the DNA of some and some even seek it out. But in the end, nearly everyone involved is a casualty.
