Campaign 2016 - It's never too late to start all over again!

That might be one of the biggest hack jobs I've ever read. Not only is there nothing concrete to put onto the Clintons, but even if there were that extends to the entire party? Did you even read it?

Yes. And it was written by a Cantab, not somebody from Liberty U.

Do I think there are a large number of Massachusetts "intellectuals" who are not enamored with Mrs. Clinton and who want one of their own (Sen. Warren) to run? Yep. And this is one of the salvos.

IIRC the Kennedys went all in on Obama. There has to be some history between the Clintons and the Massachusetts Democrats.

When you get to norther parts of MN, the liberal that you find there isn't like the liberal that you'll find in the Twin Cities. Most of the folk that you talk to up there are DFL because their parents, generally due to union involvement with the mining industry or dock workers around Duluth. The tend to be fairly conservative on social issues, though loosening up somewhat in the past 10-20 years.

Largely true. The north is a bit more blue collar democrat...the cities are progressive. But both have quite a bit of common ground.

As to the pockets of conservatism in this state, it's mostly found in well off suburban areas and it generally focuses on fiscal issues with a more relaxed outlook on social issues (except for buying alcohol or cars on Sundays). When you go into southern reaches of the state, especially SW Minnesota, that's where you'll find some truly conservative people. They're not open to liberal social issues and their money is not for got the government but rather for their fields. Until it comes to farming subsidies, then they love those retitled welfare payments.

I would amend this. 'Well off' suburbs are actually just left of center by national standards. Eden Prairie, Minnetonka and Edina all went for Obama in 2008 (and I believe 2012 as well). Its the exurbs that are conservative. And while SW MN is fairly conservative, SE MN is rather moderate. Walz has been rep for about 10 years and he's a pro choice and LGBT supporter. Its not that those issues are strong there...but that part of the state is at least moderate and not specifically socially conservative.

I watched Sanders on Face the Nation this morning. Kepler was right. He's not as crazy as he sounds on paper.

Oh, and Huckabee? He got embarrassed by Schieffer on a question about an infomercial he appeared in hawking dietary supplements that claimed they could cure diabetes.

I had no idea Huckabee was a huckster. An honest to God huckster. It was really odd watching him squirm like that.

He sells his email list to anyone willing to pay for it. One of the bloggers I follow has written about it over the past few years when a particularly bad one comes in like the one you mentioned.

Sorry but Rovers BS is no more palatable than most of the Righties. He and his Pantsuited Cyborg Lover are everything I despise about politics. Just because he fights against those I deem wrong doesnt make him right.

As I said in the Dubya elections, the lesser of two evils is still evil...

Oh boo hoo hoo. Sorry if politics isn't all lollipops and unicorns, but that's the breaks. Get with the program Handy as Kep even says. You can either 1) launch some stupid protest vote and watch Bush/Cruz/Walker get elected, or 2) come over to Hillary's side. Realistically, there is no 3rd option. That's not based on my say so, it just is what it is. I'll say again, there is no bigger egotistical snotty self centered fraud than Little Ralphie Nader in all of politics. Hillary's got nothin' on him.

This is like saying Stalin wasn't so bad because he didn't kill as many as Hitler

Early on...its easy to set you standards high. When its the second week in November and you're standing in the polling booth knowing that that night one of two people will be slated to run the country for up to 8 years, things take on a different light.

Agreed. I just don't like absolutists. Life is about trade offs. So is politics. I'm not sure why we need to be cynical over that. Its no different than looking at a new job and comparing salary, commuting time and health benefits, or buying a house and thinking about square footage, neighbors, and schools. While I may be a little hard on the guy for some people's tastes, Little Ralphie is a Ted Cruz like absolutist, just from the other end of the ideological spectrum. His apostles are just as bad.

This is the stark truth.

There really is no choice, as Rover a little too gleefully states. So, the choice being removed, the next best thing is trying to box Hillary in so that her path of least resistance is also a path towards good.

Right why try and get what you want when you can get nothing you want and claim a Pyrrhic Victory! Screw whether it will hurt others (or all of us) she has a D after her name so I win!

You may have sold out but I never will. Then again I actually care about others and you and the other Cyborg Disciples only care about one upping the knucks. At least you got your talking points in line...finally found the right Political Mad Libs I see :D
