The reason for the post AND "wink". Seasons like the one Utica is enjoying right now do not come around very often. Enjoy it while you can.

I think the team just gave up, why play your butt off when there is no tomorrow.
To be honest, both are a bit scarey. No question about it, who ever now wins the ECAC-W tourney will have earned it.
Now 8-1 Manhattanville. That's it boys, get it out of your system now.

Hey, to be fair, jconner implied that Utica had season after season like the current Elmira season. hockeyguy99 pointed out that Utica has matched EC current season only once. Personally, I hope neither does it again.

I'll take another season like this one for the number of Championships we currently have.
Now you're just talking out your *****. IF Utica wins the ECAC-W Championship, does that, "in your words" mean "Squat"?

Elmira went into RIT and came out with an ECAC West Championship and went on to play in the NCAA Tournament. I think that is a little better than squat. They have played in the NCAA Tournament 7 times since 2002 and 2 Froen Fours. I am not trying to say they are Middlebury but they have won a bit more than squat. I only mentioned stuff from 2002 on. That doesn't count their 10 NCAA appearances before that.

My apologies. It slipped my mind that different people may have different definitions of success. Here in the NESCAC, we count our success as National Championships. If you wish to consider a conference championship as anything other than "squat", that is definitely your prerogative.

Anytime you play in an NCAA Tournament in any sport at any level I think you accomplished something more than squat. If you make it to a Final Four you should raise a banner. Just my opinion..
