Just noticed some updates were made to the debt clock... there's now a tariff tax counter, and a comparison of revenue/deficit to GDP. One thing that hasn't changed, though, are the large numbers. usdebtclock.org

The first company I worked for was starting to have trouble attracting new grads, so they made the mistake of asking us 7 most recent hires why we worked there. Every single one of us said, "because it was our only job offer." Yikes.

That’s how I got my first job.

I applied to my current employer about 30 times. Never even got a callback. Dickwads.

The states are even worse.

Also, my god some states' partial year residency instructions are bizarre and poorly written.

Iowa says they're slowing down refunds to prevent fraud. It had absolutely nothing to do with their cash flow, or lack thereof. Really. And they also have a bridge to sell you if you believe them.

MA has an obnoxious rule that you can't eFile your MA return if your W-2 has more than 4 states.

Had that meeting. One thing that keeps me there is the non-discrimination policy.
