Re: Business, Economics & Tax Policy 5.0: Can a blind nut find a squirrel?

They did. They gave the FCC the power to regulate communications.

The FCC exercised that power, and is now stupidly rescinding it because republicans are stupid.

Not stupid. Just corrupt.

Re: Business, Economics & Tax Policy 5.0: Can a blind nut find a squirrel?

Oh, please. Stop lying. You sound like Trump now.

Don't accuse people of lying when they aren't lying. Say "stop exaggerating" if you must.

With the Clintons, policies like net neutrality were up for auction. I don't know why people continue to defend them on matters like that. They were corrupt as f-ck.

Obama would probably have played a little fast and loose to please his Silicone Valley donors. Hillary would have been Diane Feinsteining it right to the bank. That's how they rolled.

They did a lot of good, mostly passively as a firewall against the orcs but in some cases actively. But they were a crime family that behaved as if they were above the law. For f-cks sake, it's obvious.

Oh for fark's sake. Obama's FCC is the one that solidified net neutrality by formally classifying internet communications

Stop playing into the BSAB narrative. It's unbecoming.

I'm not playing the BSAB narrative. The GOP is a 10 on the corruption scale. The Clintons are a 7. Obama was a 2 and that makes him worthy of Rushmore. And the scale is logarithmic.

The Trumps are a 73.

The Trumps aren't a 73. The Trumps are the scale.

Furthermore, net neutrality was the informal rule since the beginning and was working fine, so there was no major impetus to do anything until recently when people starting challenging it.

It is in my opinion a made up issue to allow major content providers a to avoid compensating carriers for unbalanced traffic distributions. Now that their contracts are won, it can disappear with little fanfare. We may see a little half hearted protests, but nothing real. All about gov't picking Google/Netflix over carriers. An argument could be made it was the right choice.

Additionally if law enforcement has a warrant you will have no privacy with Net Neutrality or not.

Well there it is, the stupidest thing I'll read all day...

What you're talking about has almost nothing to do with net neutrality even if Netflix tried to convince people otherwise.
