Business, Economics, and Taxes: Eat Cereal for Dinner

Anyone want to bet some rich pukes made bank shorting the market because they knew Trump would balk in the end? Who thinks that was the plan all along?
There's not a plan, anymore than reminding everyone who the biggest kid on the block is.
I wish people would stop trying to ascribe more intent to Trump than what you would ascribe to the biggest chimp in a pack thumping on the 2nd biggest.
That alone explains 99% of what he does.

Trump is literally doing the same thing with Crypto...this is not a political move it is all about gaming the financial system which he has been doing since before I was born. Stock manipulation is definitely something he knows how to do and is doing. Just look at his media company...

He's got plenty of intent. He intended to stay out of jail. He intended to get richer. He intended to rip people off. He intended to bend every middle class and poor person over and ram them up the chute as hard as he can. There's plenty of intent. He's not as dumb as some people think. His voters are though. His voters are some of the dumbest human beings on planet Earth.

The NOAA itself has more value than any single person who voted for this loser

Salesforce cuts another 1000 jobs, including most of their partner alliance managers & directors. They're going all-in on their "Agentforce" AI product, and expect to hire more sales & marketing people for that. Seems they can either implement most of those sales in-house, or will just farm it out to select partners without maintaining any alliance strategies (I'm sure that will be fun).

Benioff is a dick, but I'm sure he'll make the stock price soar somehow.

Saw a LinkedIn post which explains this move a little better. Recently, LinkedIn was full of promotions for 'AgentForce Account Executives'. The profile for a majority of those hires is what most professional services firms would call a 'Solutions Engineer/Consultant' which is a way to make technical pre-sales sound fancy. Based on a short meeting with the project sponsor, they propose the solution scope, effort, high-level staffing, and pricing, then hand it off to the account team to finalize the sale. So essentially, Salesforce is zeroing in on a technical AE profile and eliminating the traditional gap between the pre-sales techies and the pretty/handsome faces in accounts. However, there's more to this.

AgentForce AEs don’t just run the entire sales cycle; they’re also responsible for deploying the solution into the existing SFDC tech stack. Which answers my question as to how they plan to deploy Agentforce to so many customers without a strong partner alliance network. This is also an interesting way of trying to address the age-old problem of sales overpromising results or underscoping the effort just to make the sale, and then leaving the delivery team holding the bag. Now, it'll be the lead AE who's been engaged the whole time who has to explain to the customer, "Yes, I know I said back when you signed that the platform can do this, but it turns out we actually can't without breaking XYZ which is fundamental to platform architecture."

agree with that

Microsoft getting more evil. Basically doing away with layoffs and severance- a strict performance mgmt program that doesn’t seem to mention PIP/CAP, just immediate dismissal with no severance.

I’m not advocating for poor performers to be coddled- but we all know they’ll still do a lot of cuts, give no severance and then hire someone younger and cheaper. No warnings for performance and no severance is cruel. ESP knowing how political performance reviews can be in companies like that

All so the execs can buy more caviar to soak their toes in

Remember the quaint days of Vance standing in the egg aisle decrying $4 eggs? (that were actually $3)
