For a guy who feels deficit do matter, Drew seems to like electing administrations that increase the deficit and opposing administrations that decrease the deficit.

They all do. It's all part of the grift. Drew is just another grifter who wants to feed on the blood of his victims.

Perhaps he hasn’t been the greatest president and I certainly acknowledge the national debt has grown significantly on his watch, but I don’t regret donating money and voting for Biden. He was the better choice.

See how the blue line gets closer to the black line between the dots labeled 21 and 22? Well, those numbers mean years, specifically years in the 21st century; now this might get tricky, but the 21st century means that the year starts with 20-, so those actually mean 2021 and 2022, the first couple years when Biden took office. And note how the blue line is below the black line? That means it is negative, but see it gets less negative. Remember the deficit is when the budget is negative; that's a bad thing; it gives Drew a big ole frowny face; :(. So Biden made the bad number less bad, you see.

I'd be curious what those graphs look like in terms of real dollars and/or relative to GDP. If the GDP is $10T and the deficit is $1T, that's about the same as if it were $1T and $100B.

Ok, I did the math from the FRED data. In terms of real deficits as a % of real GDP per capita since 1976:

Every Republican POTUS has finished their term worse* than they started
Every Democratic POTUS has finished their term better than they started

*meaning, deficit as a % of GDP/cap was more negative when they finished their term than when they started

reddit's down. >25k reports in the last minute. This should be fun.

Oh boy, Reddit's having a moment! With more than 25k reports pouring in every minute, things are getting interesting. While we're waiting for it to come back, maybe it's a good time to sort out some other tasks. By the way, if you've been considering your financial options, like snapfinance, reaching out to their customer service here could be a productive pause. Hang tight, Reddit will be back before we know it!

Zoom asking employees to return to office lol

Analyst after analyst has found that companies requiring RTO have higher attrition rates and require more time to fill vacancies than those where RTO is optional, or limited to 1-2 days per week. It seems like Zoom is biting its tail here.

JFC, just shoot them both.

Srsly, Left , Center, or Right, isn't this the one thing we can all agree on?

Bring back Deportatio.

I don't know about that strategy. I fear that tech bros are like boils; if you pop or lance them without a doctor's help, you run the risk of spreading the infection. Somehow, we have to make it very uncool to be a tech bro, because they are today what finance bros were in the 80s and 90s (and still are - it's just not as 'cool' as running a tech startup).
