Elon Musk picking a fight with MA Senator Ed Markey (who I mostly regard as a "go along to get along" empty suit), seems unwise.

Markey sits on committees for, among other things, science, space exploration, surface transportation, data privacy, consumer protection, communication...

Elon Musk must be on a MAAAAAASSIVE amount of drugs. And I know I'm not the only one to say this. But his swings in temperament are telling.

I saw an interesting thought floating around Twitter...

Twitter has been used as a historical database. Everything the world has collectively seen, done, and discussed has been documented in some form on Twitter since 2006.

If, say, your buddies had a long history of publicly discussed crimes (war, political, etc), you would want that evidence erased to make it harder to trace back to you.

What easier way to wipe out 6,081 days of evidence (and counting) than allegorically having the evidence burst into flames and dissappear when you burn the whole social network down?

I was going to say that's a great plan, except for that the Library of Congress is archiving all of Twitter, but apparently that project stopped in 2018. Now it appears they are only archiving specific people/items. But, Musk could be part of that given his stature.

A lot of people are downloading their archives...and there are at least 2 computers that take a snapshot of the entire internet every 30 days. (might be more, that was what I was told when I saw one of them when I was in Alexandria, Egypt) If that is the plan it is a very stupid plan...

Just like Trump, his drugs of choice are his ego and the sound of his own voice. It's what happens when you let a spoiled rich kid grow up to become even more ridiculously wealthy.

Taxation is the only treatment known to be effective.

Heard on the telly today that Jesus Christ got a blue checkmark on twitter for $8 a month. The system was shutdown shortly afterwards. God, Elon is a big doofus.

So after the genius Musk's decision to terminate 80% of microservices at Twitter (no doubt he had thorough research and backups ready just in case something went sideways, and had multiple heavy user testing sessions on other, non-public environments), tweets from locked accounts now show up in searches, and 2FA is inaccessible so if you logged out, you can't log back in.
