I think that wasn't their cardinal sin. It was the same sin Zillow committed that is getting them in real trouble.

What is that? Buying all the products for prices that make it unaffordable for them to sell them? That seems to be the Zillow model with homes right now...

Holy crap...4 of the top 5 trending topics right now on Twitter (at least as I am seeing) are spam Asian phrases for video games and the like. This is amazing...we went from "The bots are prevalent but in check" to:

And then I read this tweet and laughed. (no idea if the math checks out but still)

Five days ago, Elon Mush complained Twitter was losing $4 million a day. Since then, Tesla stock has lost over $100 billion in value. Billion. With a “b”. It would take Twitter 70 years to lose as much as Tesla stockholders lost just *this week*.

Letting an algorithm determine prices and never once check to see if they're absurd, buying used cars sight unseen for more than their new counterparts.

Twitter won't survive the weekend. CISO, chief privacy officer, and chief compliance officer resigned last night. Twitter has asked the engineers to self-certify compliance with the consent decree governing Twitter's operations. So back to that article Lynah posted, the FTC is going to fuck this company very, very, very, very hard and I wouldn't want my name anywhere near that compliance certification document.

Oh, and elon, when asked at an all-hands meeting, about reporting to the office "If you don't show up, that's acceptable as a resignation letter"

Edit: The FTC has entered the chat:

Another BIG departure: Yoel Roth, Twitter’s head of safety and integrity, has left. Under Musk, Yoel became the public face of the company’s content moderation efforts, especially around the midterms.
