Haven't watched the last half of the third yet, but I didn't see Ahti play any defense, and I didn't see Kelley have a single shift. Fourth line that was out there was Greer, Phelps, and Moran.
Thought the same thing

Kelley played the last few minutes.
I was on the phone for 30min until a woman told me to go to bu website and stream it there.
This is why I didn't bother (plus the fact that I thought NESN would cut to the game - I didn't realize the postgame show was going to last a week, especially with another scheduled game "immediately" following). I love DirecTV, but when it comes to programming issues like this, their people are not very helpful (not to mention it's college hockey and most have no clue it even exists - remember, these call center people aren't local).
Unfortunately I missed the early three-goal flurry (seeing the replay "highlights" during the post-game show isn't the same thing), which means that I essentally missed the entire game...
Reminds me of the DiPietro year (99-00) when we finished in first after nobody expected we would be close to that. Now I just hope this team bring home more post-seaon tourney hardware than that team did (darn Black Bears knocked us out of both he HE and NCAAs, didn't they?).
bu had a poorer home record than nu and mack
So, did anyone else notice that Friday night Northeastern came out on the ice before BU did? Isn't there protocol around that? I thought that wasn't allowed.
Hey....WE FINISHED IN FIRST PLACE!!
Pretty darn good feeling. Even those of us that were optimistic didn't put BU much higher than 4th, maybe 3rd at the highest, if memory serves. And MANY posters had BU finishing in the 6th-7th range.

They did lose to Maine 4-2 in the HE semifinals that season, but after beating St. Cloud 5-3 in the first round of the NCAAs, they lost to St. Lawrence in the QF 3-2 in four overtimes. If they had survived that game, they would've played BC in one of the semifinals in Providence.
Tommi Degerman!
What a miserable drive home from Albany that was...we were so demoralized we didn't even stay for the 2nd game (which was Michigan vs. Maine I think)...and I don't think that game started until like 9:30 p.m.
I was living in Atlanta at the time, so I went to a bar where they showed it. I think there was an issue where whatever channel was showing it had to start showing the Celtics?
