BU season thread I - 2014-2015

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

Anyone know what the chippy play and animosity was all about last night? These teams don't have a history, but it seemed like they were chirping at each other and constantly hitting and shoving each other after the whistle. Looked like BU initiated most of it too. Was it part of Quinn's strategy? Does Colgate generally take a lot of retaliatory penalties?

Maybe this was what irked Raiders. :D

Connor LaCouvee gets the start in goal against Dartmouth today.

Here at the Garden for the Celtics game today - they've totally done over the concourses. All white and black with huge digital displays all over. Murals painted on the walls - all pretty cool, both Celtics and Bruins. And the one at the too of my section was BC's 2012 HE championship. All new concession stands, very pricey. People will be surprised when they're here for the Frozen Four.

Topic.....do we know anything about Dartmouth except that they have probably the best Twitter account?

Dartmouth beat Union, lost to Harvard, edged AIC yesterday. And they do a great job on video highlights, as opposed to the mediocre job by Agganis Arena. Just check yesterday's highlights vs. the women's team highlights at Dartmouth (on the blog). On Phelps' goal, you don't see Chase; on Eichel's goal, you don't see the great effort by Grzelcyk that made the goal possible.

The Harvard game aside, this team has some swagger now. That was a very good opponent tonight that got steamrolled in the 3d period. Nice to know you can play 30 minutes and beat the 9th ranked team in the country going away.

Quoting myself sounding a bit foolish some 24 hrs ago. Bottom line is 10 freshmen playing regularly means inconsistency at times, regardless of talent. Not as astute a hockey observer as I think I am sometimes.

Umm... the team down the street has won a national title with the youngest team on skates.
And that's not the ECAC your losing to... it's the Ivy's.
BU needs a new coach. ;) :p

Not the EZAC anymore. Dartmouth won all the corner play and fore checking. No legs under the Terriers

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

I brought this question up before. Does anyone really disagree with Hoky? What is this teams record right now if you take Eichel off the team?

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

Kariya was the best true freshmen I have seen in 25 years. Outside of him, Eichel dominates as much as anyone I have seen in. Kariya had Montgomery, who does Eichel have? They can pair with anyone and he still dominates.
