there's a good buck in that racket.
He was at the Wisconsin games, along with Tom Morrow and Justin Maiser.
OH - Justin Maiser??
Did the senior posters arrive yet?

God bless him; I hope all goes well for him, but he was a brutal player in his own end of the ice.Yes, Klema decided he didn't want to play hockey anymore in the middle of the 03-04 season. To be fair, at about the same time, most fans were probably feeling like they didn't want to watch anymore BU games ever again.
David Van Der Gulik??
Van der Gulik was in the same class as Zancanaro and he was a wing his entire BU career, mostly left wing, but a handful of games at right wing. He was Zancanaro's left wing for 66 games (10 as freshmen, 10 as sophomores, 31 as juniors and 25 as seniors) over their fours seasons. So who was their right wing for 45 games their junior and season seasons? His senior year, I think he was on the wing with Zancanaro at center.
No, he was a wing. He played more games at right wing about quite a few games at left wing.OH - Justin Maiser??
OK, it was the only one of those three that was a center.I can't remember who was a wing and who was a center that far back. Magowan, Skladany, David Klema. Ugh, some of those teams were awful.
Sorry, but Coach Parker strikes again!Speaking of the Klema class - I'm pretty sure Brian McConnell was pretty strictly a center. If his teams went deeper into the playoffs, I would bet he is right up there in games at center. Maybe he is anyway?

Klema left at the end of his junior season in 2003-04, but only played 2 games after the Beanpot semifinal.I forgot about Klema. The one guy from that class that wasn't from the NTDP. Left after a couple years, no?

One of the worst uses of a timeout in ncaa championship game history
BU was lucky to even be in the game as ND was by far the stronger team

John Laliberte, a left-shot, was the right wing with Zanc and VDG most of 2005 and 2006. Video clip of Laliberte scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over BC in the 2005 Beapot semi, which was also the #1 moment of Stephan Siwiec's BU career. Has anyone worn #1 for BU since Siwiec?
John Cullen, BU’s all-time leading scorer, and who lead the team in scoring his freshman season (and was the ECAC and New England rookie of the year), appears to have played on the third line for his entire freshman season (based on incomplete records I have for the 1983-84 season). He was not promoted to the 1st line until the 15th game of his sophomore season.
Cullen started the 1984-85 season as the second line center (for 13 of 14 games; the other game he centered the third line. After sitting out the 15th game of the season he moved up to center the first line for the rest of his BU career, except for the 1985 HE semifinal game (when he centered the second line one final time). As you thought, Peter Marshall was the first line center for 14 of the first 15 games in the 1984-85 season, with Brad MacGregor the center for the other game (and the HE semifinal game). Marshall remained the second line center for the entire 1985-86 season as well (except for one game).Who was the first line center when Cullen was playing on the third line in 84-85? I was a freshman at BU that year and can't remember (it would likely have been Peter Marshall or Brad MacGregor, I guess). My faulty memory has John Cullen always being the first line center during my first three years at BU.![]()

I'm going to guess that one game that Marshall did not center the second line in '85-'86 was the second NCAA game against Minnesota at WBA (after he broke his leg in the first game).Cullen started the 1984-85 season as the second line center (for 13 of 14 games; the other game he centered the third line. So that bring up another trivia question: Who played the most games on the first line at each position since the 1984-85 season?

It was great to have those three first line seniors have a great season in 2006 (save for the last game at Worcester) after a tough season in 2004.

Sorry, I guess that is confusing. I meant who has played the most games at left wing on the first line; who has played the most games at center on the first line; and who has played the most games at right wing on the first line? After the 2015-2016, and if he stays. I would have to think its O'regan. Right now I'm not sure. maybe Jay Pandolfo or Joe Sacco?
Edit. Do you mean D vs F or C, LW, RW, D?
Sorry, again I wasn't completely clear. I have only been talking about games that a Terrier played, not games not played. So the NCAA game Marshall missed with his broken leg is not in my database (and I really don't want to add all the DNP games for every Terrier, although I have thought about it).I'm going to guess that one game that Marshall did not center the second line in '85-'86 was the second NCAA game against Minnesota at WBA (after he broke his leg in the first game).

So I guess you have no desire to guess the career 4th liners either?I'm not even going to attempt it.![]()
UND was a better team
Not really, but the last Terrier to play every game of his BU career at center was mentioned. It is either Magowan, Skladany or Klema (only one who was a center). No new trivia questions until the other one is answered!!Have any of us been close???
And how can anyone forget the best team in 1997 was Michigan...I don't even know why I bother.....but....if we're going to have that argument we can be here forever. If you want to start listing teams that have won championships but "the other team was the better team" it's pointless. It's an unresolvable argument. That's why they play the game. You could say "Miami was the better team" in 2009 too. But it doesn't matter. I could say "BU was the better team" against Providence (which they were except for one faceoff and well...you know)." But it doesn't matter. The champion is the team who wins the game.
