Eichel was very good last night. Hat trick and 2 assists. Look for him to end up on wjc as an under aged player. By far the best player for usa

Far superior to both. Milano very crafty and good but not at Eichels level. Have not seen Touch a lot

carlton, i think the hope for BC is that while Eichel is the #1 recruit in this conversation, he won't be surrounded with as much talent as there is/will be at BC and he won't be at BU as long as Milano and Tuch will be (speculating on that part).

I wouldn't hold your breath on milano showing up

Even when BU has brought in talent that is at least on paper on par with BC's, they have still not had anywhere near the same success that BC has.

Not that I necessarily agree with it, and who knows when the list was compiled, but CHN's 2014 recruit rankings has Milano #2, Eichel #3, Sanford #6 and Tuch #7. I'd probably flip Eichel and Milano as well as Sanford and Tuch. After a pretty good start in the USHL, Sanford has tailed off while Tuch is really coming on strong.

U.S. of Hockey analysis of Jr. National Team candidate Jack Eichel
Jack Eichel (2015) — C — U.S. National Under-18 Team — The only underager invited to Team USA’s camp, Eichel is a special player. The late 1996-birth year will not be eligible for the NHL Draft until 2015, but he is already drawing buzz as a potential top-five pick. At 6-1, 190, he is physically ready, has strong skating and some special skill. The most frequent descriptor for Eichel is “dynamic.” At the NTDP, he is averaging 1.84 points per game with 35 in 19 contests and is in the midst of a 10-game point streak in which he had fewer than two points only once. That is coming against a smattering of NCAA, USHL and international competition. This kind of production is not often seen in the U18 year because the competition is so stiff. There’s a good chance Eichel could play his way into a top-six center role and be a featured producer for Team USA. He was on the U.S. Natioanl Under-18 Team last year and really struggled, so that’s where there may be some trepidation in bringing him, but the way he has played this year can’t be ignored. Barring a disastrous camp performance, he’s in and gets a good chance to produce.

At Jr. National Team camp, Eichel was centering one-time BU commit Adam Erne and Miami RW Riley Barber.

"I don't really think too much about playing against Connor [McDavid]," Eichel said. "I just want the opportunity to be on this team, first and foremost. He's trying to make Canada, and I'm trying for Team USA. I just want to get an opportunity to help defend the gold medal; that's our biggest goal at this point. I don't really look at one-on-one battles. This is a team game, and if we're going to win this tournament we'll win it as a team."

So are his future BU teammates and fellow U.S. camp invites Dan O'Regan and Matt Grzelyck.

"He's so impressive; his skating stride is unbelievable," Grzelyck, a defenseman, said. "He's got all the tools for sure and is fun to watch."

O'Regan, a forward, echoed those sentiments.

"I know everyone at BU is excited for him to come in," he said. "Even after one practice at this selection camp, it's pretty obvious he's a highly skilled guy."

Scouted on October 26, 2013: Des Moines @ US NTDP Select-17 (USHL)
Jordan Greenway is the total package forward. 6'05 and 215 pounds and still only 16. Is patient enough to wait for passing lanes to open. Anticipates at a level that allows him to know where those lanes will part. Knows when to shoot and when to pass. Demonstrates good stickhandling ability and the will to drive to the net. A stout protector of the puck. Regularly gets a leg in front of oncoming stick swipes. Contains immense strength throughout his body; it shows in his skating stride and shooting ability. What a player. AHR Rating: AAA
