BU Hockey '25-'26: Can we keep up the run to Vegas?

As soon as I saw it I thought it was a penalty on us…I would have wanted that call had the situation been reversed. It should be noted that our captain committed a huge penalty at the most inopportune time. Again.

Yet, when the hockey gods remove their hex and the puck starts going in, BU might go on a tear. It was exactly this time last year that the switch got flipped…last year the key was stopping it from going in our net, perhaps this year it will be that the puck starts bouncing our way.

Eiserman may need to do some ritual or such to shake the bad voodoo that denies him goals. He has had 3 tonight that go in unless you are on a bad streak.
That one save by Zacher when I saw it on replay at home was incredible. It looked like a sure goal and would have avoided the OT / Shootout

BU again dictated the play again, but we were snakebitten again on some surely labeled goals. l liked the energy and thought we deserved to win that game (haven't said that in a while!) and advance. I guess it wasn't really a win, but a good tie! NU goalie kept them in it (As well as Big Mike on several occasions). There is certainly potential there, but again way too many turnovers - that's really the only way NU put pressure on - when we gave it to them in our zone or at the blue lines. Liked the improved cycling of the puck in the O zone.

On to BC in the final which, if they win, could be the signature game of this rather disappointing year.
Agree on the cycling. It looked like they were working more consistently to get it deep and then fight behind the cage. It worked. I also thought puck management was much improved. Yes, there were turnovers, but usually in the neutral zone, not the slot in front of Big Mike! (That terrible situation where Hutson lost his edge behind own goal and the puck trickled in front of the goalmouth was an exception, but sort of excusable and at least not on an ill advised drop pass to no one.)
