I don't see how you can think there shouldn't have been a penalty called. It was an obvious trip, they showed a replay of it. The Providence player's stick went right across McCarthy's right skate.

Ya I don't know what you're seeing here.

It’s not a good look that the HE COTY can’t get his team to play above D- hockey at the Boston Garden. (It was an F until that goal.)

At least Drew is ending his BU career on a high note.

Good point Leaman schooled Pando pretty much until OT. Reminded me a little of 2015. Good to win when not necessarily deserving.

OK...now I can breathe. I think they DID start to make adjustments (finally). It seemed as though in the OT they focused more on getting the puck deep. Previously one player would try to pull the puck around. They finally realized that they had to just get the puck behind the defense and forget about the pretty play. Providence just makes you play that way. It's ugly, but that's how they have had success.

Happy for Drew. He came up huge. The only goal he gave up was because he didn’t have his stick. They finally started to look like themselves the last 5 mins of OT and the winner was pretty.

Wow, that was a different game in the OT. Many more chances for sure. Providence had some great ones as well. Commesso was the wall we need him to be. The only thing he gave up was when he didn’t have a stick! I love that. I’ve been waiting for that.

However, how may pucks did we fan on passes in critical areas for turnovers and shots in tight? That’s got to be nerves. Fortunately we turned some of the tide in OT and mostly played with poise. The pass by Tuch was magnificent and Quinn Hutson is a natural goal scorer. I think he hit the post and bar earlier in the 3rd. On to the Championship Game!

Couple of upsets already in conference semis - Quinnipiac lost to Colgate 2-1 and Denver lost to CC 1-0 if everyone didn’t see yet. Coluld be a low number of at larges. Merrimack better hope they win their game.

Does the ECAC have a consolation game? Does the NCHC? Should BU manage to win tomorrow, any chance they move up in the pairwise?

The Freep tweeted out the Case McCarthy broke his collarbone. Yikes. That was so scary to see.

No consolation games. If BU wins and Michigan loses, BU is #4 in most scenarios. They are likely 4/5 with Michigan and in the same regional either way. If BU loses and Harvard wins it gets a bit more interesting.

I don’t know how this team wins another game with 4 healthy D with experience. Basically 3. Oy.

And Gallagher was a jumpy turn-over machine tonight.
