Re: BU 2017 Season Thread II: Terriers rising

One thing i have seen at least three times in watching for 15 minutes is BU doing a terrible job identifying and picking up trailers coming up the ice

Re: BU 2017 Season Thread II: Terriers rising

With the lead I want to see bu stop in their zone between the circles and draw nd out of their clog. If JJ prefers to wait, good. Clock will run out :)

The team doesn't need to wake up. They're playing hard. They gave everything they had last night, too. I don't want to call the poster(s) out who suggested they weren't motivated, but that/those poster(s) are stupid. Motivation and effort aren't the issue. You can't score if you adhere to Quin's offense. The team needs to either **** him out and do their own thing or start forcing turnovers and going in on some rushes.

But I'm not 100% wrong. There was not much effort for a good stretch awhile back. Exhibit A: both Merrimack games.

They are playing hard tonight. I give them credit. They are leaving it all out on the ice.

Well what do you know, the DQ offense produced a goal! Haha, that was a pretty nice shot from the no-talent MacLeod!

That was a rocket...see what happens when you get pucks through...created both goals...Chuckles and Diffley should take the cue and stop burying it into shin pads...MacLeod has picked up his game it's Diffley that has no business being in the line up after last weekend

Yes, effort was a big issue against Merrimack, for the entire team. But those two games were the only time there's been an effort issue since the back half of 13-14.

Yeah, a guy here or there might not put up the effort every game(Greenway!) but in terms of a team issue, aside from the 'Mack games, it hasn't existed.

You would have to agree that the system he plays somewhat inhibits that talent.

I would agree that it's his system and his combinations and his personnel decisions. Also doesn't hold so called superstars accountable.Exhibit A...#7

I agree Diff was bad last weekend but I thought he's been good this weekend. I think the reason shot get blocked so often is because the other twams know those shots are coming. They know we just push the puck back up the boards so they can collapse down and block shots. We keep the puck to the outside and do the D's work for them. Allows them to keep five guys in front of the net and block our shots. Easier to get shots through when we force the D to come out in order to push us to the outside.

Really ??..the last 2 games last year when BU got S**t kicked 12-2 wasnt an effort problem?

He has been fine defensively this weekend..he has zero stick skills or play making ability..c'mon now

No, it was a confidence problem. They played like they were scared to lose, scared to screw up. They'd give up a goal and deflate. They need a sports psychologist, not an *** chewing.

Re: BU 2017 Season Thread II: Terriers rising

Thanks BU! Congrats on dispatching Fake Hockey East. Which third of the trophy do you want? lol

Re: BU 2017 Season Thread II: Terriers rising

Wish they would have showed some of that last night. But at least they get to pat Notre Dame on the head and say, "Thanks for participating in Hockey East, hope you have better luck with your next conference."

We'll take the third of the trophy that comes with the Conference Tourney trophy, thank you very much.

Bye, bye Fake Hockey East. No title for you. Now one of us just has to dispose of them in the tournament.

Nah, we've got that covered. We'll take that third.
