How about your boy Diff getting pickpocketed by the UNH guy behind the net to give up goal #2 then standing in no man's land just now on goal #4 screening Oettinger.

Especially when they attempted the exact same play about three seconds before. So then Kelleher goes back to the exact same spot where he just stands there and watches him score.

In togethers defense Switzer has looked decent, I'd like to see him back out tomorrow night. Diffley has been a trainwreck.

"and switzer... LOST the handle. turnover"

:(

Hey genius...a turnover has to go to the other team..mishandling a puck at the Blue line isn't a turnover...Sir Charles only lost about 4 of those tonight. A turnover would be what Charlie did in OT that almost cost BU the game. And what he did getting caught 3 times after you opened your mouth earlier...now put the bong down and stop referring to yourself in the 3rd person.

And....that's what you get when you play hard for one period.

Dominated play for the entire third and most of OT. Some more of that and a roster tweak or two and theres some improvement. Sorry to see him regress but Diffley can't play anymore. Switzer is a nice fill in for Hickey. Fabbro looked lost at times tonight.

Don't pick on Mookie newbie. He's beloved. Respect your elders. :D

Re: BU 2017 Season Thread II: Terriers rising

I give credit to DQ for trying something, but the Somerby at forward move is a head scratcher that came back to bite the team. Playing on the 4th line, you put your captain on the bench for 90% of the game. And assuming Diffley was his replacement, well, we saw how that ended up. I really liked Diffley as a freshman, but he hasn't developed since. I know he has had to ride the pine, but he missed an opportunity tonight.

Bellows - another tough game. A couple penalties, an inability to hit the streaking center on the breakout from his wing (his little tip play failed on multiple occasions).
Greenway - Hello. welcome back. Where have you been? Please stay through the end of the season.
JFK - You and Greenway must have been on vacation together. Glad you made it back with him, please also stick around.
Harper - has looked better the past couple games, but he too made some poor passes to the team in blue.
Oettinger - a rare poor game for him, IMHO. Always hard to tell how well a goalie plays, given how important it is for his defense to clear rebounds and not screen him (see UNH's third goal).

So many terrible passes to nobody, or just a foot or two in front of the recipient, and it's coming back into our zone. I'm tired of hearing how talented we are - talented players can make stick to stick passes on a regular basis.

A nice comeback, but they never should have been in the losing position to start with. That 4th goal was just horrible. Let's give the nations leading scorer not one, but two chances to shoot from 18 feet out, wit three Terriers standing in a triangle around him.

It won't get any easier tomorrow night. Hopefully they can play like they did in the third period. Maybe Keller will go off on the Olympic sized rink.

Watching the game on tv it really didn't feel like you "dominated OT." But thats just my opinion

So we're very close to dropping into a 2nd place tie with ND. Making next weekend all the more important if you care about the HE standings.
