BU 2015 Offseason Thread-To quote The Clash - Should he stay or should he go?

Re: BU 2015 Offseason Thread-To quote The Clash - Should he stay or should he go?

They served Alcohol at the Juniors Exhibition game but I don't believe they served it at the Women's game I attended a few years ago.

Granted, it's been a few years, but I can't really ever recall the women's team having the concession stand open.

They had to get a special 1 day license for the junior game last year. Doubt they would go that route for an uncertain draw

not 1/10th as much and made sure to pay for all. didn't stay at the W which is $3500 a night during Stanley Cup, didn't get free suite tickets , didn't sign demo cards, going to games, free jerseys on and on. Didn't see him at the MLB games with free stuff
one eligible, one not. moot now but would have been interesting

Interesting logic. Seems to me that if someone does even 1% of the "illegal" things another person has done, he has still broken the law and has opened himself up to "prosecution" or punishment.

Bingo. Though some of the things Hoky listed aren't necessarily NCAA violations, depending on who gave them the stuff.

Lol

It was a charity game featuring some old timers. Looking at the rosters, if they were to play a "real" game i think there would be a different outcome. Irrelevant anyway. Hope they are able to keep it going for years to come.

BC is used to bending over for BU.

Jerry must have told them, "hey boys, this one isn't real. So go out and lose to BU."

Yeah, there is the excuse!

Lay off the acid harry

Re: BU 2015 Offseason Thread-To quote The Clash - Should he stay or should he go?

Not eligible to return
Suites at Stanley Cup, flying all over the place, hotel suites, jerseys, signing cards for fee on and on and on
CM can do all that, JE can't
Knew he wasn't coming back long ago
Telling when they only had top 4 cards signed
NH coming back, JE never was

So much for that inside info

Re: BU 2015 Offseason Thread-To quote The Clash - Should he stay or should he go?

Fun game last night and I was impressed with the size of the crowd. I was thinking we were in for a defense-optional, 14-8 type of game. And yeah, it was a charity game but BC had blue-chippah NHLers and BU didn't (could've if not for Brandon Yip's wedding this weekend) and it was organized by BC players for a charity/in honor of two BC people so I'm thinking the players didn't want to really half *** it.

As it was billed as the 1st annual, I really do hope this happens again.

Really enjoyed it too and we were thinking no way BU has a chance...hope to come back next year if they do it again. Was impressed with that BU GK name escapes me stopped Kreider in more than one occassion!!

Moccia!

I too hope they continue this. I wasn't able to go myself, but it would be nice to see this become an annual event benefitting organizations close to both schools, perhaps working in Autism Speaks or the Travis Roy Foundation in addition to the ALS/Pete Frates organization.

Oh ya! That's the ticket! (name)... did a great job. Was cool to sit close to the BC bench and watch Jerry York; he really seemed to enjoy himself watching his players from the past do their thing..Who was coaching over at the BU side? Didn't see Jack P around but that doesn't mean he wasn't there. Off to the Big Assist game on Wednesday in Stamford CT and really looking forward to that. It's great to see hockey this time of year coz the offseason is torture.

Next year, to make sure the game is evenly contested, BC players will have to wear Jerry Pirate Eye-Patches. But in a move of ultimate sportsmanship, Jack Parker agreed that each BC player can decide for themselves which eye to cover.

He was at Brandon Yip's wedding. Also a reason why it was more difficult to get BU players as many of the 06-09 teams were at the wedding. I think Quinn may be in the back row in that pic.
