Changing the subject a bit.... From the Jack Parker Wikipedia page:

"Parker is loved and revered by Boston University students; so much, in fact, that Rhett's, a popular grill, has unveiled the Parker Burger. It is a Cheeseburger consisting of fresh, not frozen ground beef, bleu cheese, and bacon."

I'm pretty familiar with the spots around campus, but I'm not familiar with Rhett's Grill???

Rhett's Grill went up in 2008 or 09 in the GSU.

Took the spot of the sandwich shop all the way to the right.

It appears we have our usual Beanpot corner for the Frozen Four, band seats are in 305, students are in 307, I would imagine anyone who got them through Agganis are in one of those two sections or in a corresponding loge section.

Personally, it kinda sucks to realize that I won't be getting a ticket while some wealthy db attends his first hockey game ever.
But, in the big picture, if Brownie can use a FF ticket to generate/close some more significant donations, then I'll accept that. What's our endowment now? Almost $2B? That needs to keep rising.

Is it just me, or does 2400 total tickets out of an arena that seats 17,565 seem like a really low number to give to the 4 participating schools?

Wouldn't 2000 per school sound like a much more reasonable number?

OK, my update is that I am in a group of season ticket holders on the bubble. Was not guaranteed but basically on a wait list, if any more become available.

I can't imagine anyone would reject tickets if offered, but who knows…

Guess I should have donated a bit more over the years :mad: :(

Maybe if Brownie gives some back. "If I have donated more over the years" would probably cost you more than the loge seats on the NCAA ticket exchange. :p

Of course...but this is the way it is regarding just about everything in life. Whenever there is a "big" event, all of the big shots come out of the woodwork. Not sure how old you are and I don't want to squash your idealism (well, maybe I do :)), but you'll find that the tiny few who have power control everything. The peons get the leftovers. And I wish this were not in the context of FF tickets, because I know I sound bitter. I'm just telling it like it is. Very few of the "rabid" fans get to go. A great analogy is the World Series. If you've ever been to a World Series game (and I was fortunate enough to be at ONE), you will look around and see a bunch of stuffed shirts who you never saw at a game before and who really don't care except to be at the "in" event. That's the way it is. Watch it on ESPN...it will save you LOTS of money!

no.

600 sounds about right given that omaha put their allotment on sale today to the general public. and in 09 bu was able (had to!) take some of another school.

the lottery fills the arena. then there are a ton of corporate hand outs (loge center ice) which will be empty :D then the schools get the loge corners.

if minnesota, sioux, & wisconsin make the finals that 2k allotment would work and go fast.
if it is almost anyone else besides the 4 above and a handful of others it could get risky. ncaa would be foolhardy to forgo the guaranteed sells in the lottery to hold back.

how confident in bu using 2k would you be if the final was in st louis or denver or chicago or tampa or nashville?

Yeah. Some schools travel well. For others, it's rough to plan a trip on two weeks notice.

The NCAA sells out after partnerships and the lottery. So I bet it figures that the 2400 tickets will be used, but perhaps not more than that.

Would there be such BU demand if the F4 were in, let's say, San Jose, or St. Louis?

mookie would love to see the frozen four in nashville. new orleans too would be a welcome addition. (both would be preferable to philadelphia :p)
