weak. stealing agganis' only, lame joke? but if you really do care, i think the discrepancy is BC doesn't stick around an opponent's home rink to salute fans after a win. didn't think anyone really cared about this though other than agganis.

I don't know if anyone else saw this, but I think there was a serious breach of the Jerry York Protocols for On-Ice Behavior following last night's game. As the Garden staff attached the BU banner to the HE flag, and while the awards tables were being setup, the Riverhawks acknowledged their fans with, yes, a stick salute. We all know that JY attaches equal reverence to the stick salute, as he does the pregame lineup for the National Anthem. I believe last night's gaffe violates Chapter 5, Postgame Behavior, Section 3 Stick Salute, Paragraph 3, Hockey East Championship Game of the JYP's. Norm Bazin must've received an admonition this morning via Voice Mail, or text.

Singing telegram.

Re: BU 2014-15 season threat III - Jasmine gets to see us 4 more times

I fear no one. If we lose so be it but this team is stocked with talent much like 2009 up and down the roster. If they can't win it all this year, when can they? Jack Eichel is the best college hockey player since Paul Kariya, and I never thought I'd see a better BU player than Drury. Unlike past tournament years, when the team didn't seem to give their best effort on the big stage I'm expecting Quinn to have them focused and flying around the ice no matter the opponent.

+1

That's funny! :)

Will Jasmine go to ManchVegas on her day off to make it 6 times? :D

Re: BU 2014-15 season threat III - Jasmine gets to see us 4 more times

Keep overlooking Yale, that is the plan. See you Friday.

hey, just keep getting dreamy with the rest of you skull & boners talking about your harvard - ylae national championship game :D

Re: BU 2014-15 season threat III - Jasmine gets to see us 4 more times

Interesting. I was under the impression - incorrectly - that the All Tourney Team was just made up of players that made it to the Garde. Notre Dame lost in that first round. I may not have had as much of an issue if they made it to the QFs. Oh, who am I kidding. I totally would've had an issue.
Notre Dame lost in the quarterfinals and both series went 3 games, so ND played 6 games to BU's 4. Russo tied Eichel for the scoring lead with 3-8-11 in those 6 games and lead all defensemen by a wide margin.

If Hockey East wants to only have players from the teams playing Championship weekend they will need to change the criteria. The NCAA solves the problem by having regional "all-tournament" teams and a FF all-tournament team.

Now I'm off to watch the games. We weren't able to attend as we were at the MassHockey Girls Tier III State Championships in Springfield this weekend.

with 4 games left....

holmann needs to avg 3pts/game to reach 100 career.
DoR needs 3 goals for 50.
ahti needs 4g/game to reach 50 too.

eichel is now a +46

Nobody wants to see Harvard again, I think 6 times was enough for Yale this year.

I do have to say, I would love to play Harvard one more time. Not very likely, though. Watched BU yesterday and they seem to be able to turn it on, when it's close, and off when they are up by 2 or 3.

True, but that's not going to work against North Dakota et al. I actually thought yesterday for the first time in awhile they came out flying in the first period and took the game to Lowell. A weak goal that broke through O'Connor's pads was the only thing separating this game from a rout. If they can continue to play with that kind of consistency they can go a long way. We have know all along the big question mark (being the youngest average aged team in college hockey) was their youth and inexperience. If Quinn can get them to "stabilize" at this point in the season they can rise to even greater heights.

Re: BU 2014-15 season threat III - Jasmine gets to see us 4 more times

Not that I want it to be the case, but why wouldn't it work?

They have more talent than UNH, Lowell, Merrimack, UConn, Harvard, Northeastern, Maine, Vermont...................................................

You're right that BU's opponents have been pretty weak. But they have really been turning it on of late. They've found their stride.

I'd say their toughest opponent since January was Harvard, and the only reason Harvard made it last two OTs was because their goalie stood on his head.

Point is that BU has the ability to turn it on against weaker teams, and get low and score against better ones.

ManchVegas? I wasn't aware there's a casino in the area.

Re: BU 2014-15 season threat III - Jasmine gets to see us 4 more times

You're right that BU's opponents have been pretty weak.

I would hardly call Lowell weak, even UNH too. Merrimack was a weak team, but Tirronen was not a weak goaltender, and neither was Tirone. That's going to get a lot harder on Friday against Lyon it seems, but we've proven lately we can put the puck past goalies who are hot and playing very well.

That said, the coaching staff must've had some type of scouting on Boyle's five-hole. It's unlikely that was a coincidence we put three (four? was Olsson's waived-off one there too?) through there.

ah... merrimack was ranked this year (as high as 14 at one point) and beat the goofs -THERE- was well as swept a clarkson team that went 1-0-1 against ylae!! no reason to apologize for our conference foes.

and fruck this ylae goalie. OUR goalie is about to win a national championship and then sign for a couple million dollars in three weeks with multiple nhl suitors banging down his door.
