Re: BU 2013-2014: Ready to Quinn

yep, hoky had him scoring one nhl goal...really went out on a limb

I'm not sure... I'm thinking that $9.10 goes beyond my beer price threshold.

Not to mention, is the middle of a 7-9 season, on the heels of a loss to Bentley, with a boring team to watch an appropriate time to be raising prices?

That would be a SportService decision. I am not sure what influence BU has over Jacobs and Company pricing decisions. Hopefully it is just event pricing.

Does BU not own the arena? One would think arena owners would have some.... Although I can't say I know how the contracting of consessions works... Regardless, I consider myself BU's customer when going to the games, not whoever they have contracted to run concessions. (SportService? Aramark??)

No
Arena owners sell the service contract and are paid by Aramark, etc. then Aramark runs their business as they want.

Regardless, when I go to a game, I'm BU Hockey's customer, not Armarks... And this is the type of stuff that contributes to the attendance issues.

Re: BU 2013-2014: Ready to Quinn

So a beer at Agganis for Disney on ice is $9.10!!!! Up from $8.03... Yikes! I hope those are jacked up prices for the Disney thing and don't stick for the BU games.

Just make it even amount $8.00 or $9.00 to move the line along much faster than fumbling for change. Not worth the wait for a beer when you need to go to the bathroom or get back to your seat.

Re: BU 2013-2014: Ready to Quinn

If they raised the price of beer, I never thought I'd say this but I won't spend a dime on beer in that place again. Time to go back to the time honored tradition of having a few belts before the game to make it through until we get to T's afterwards.

Re: BU 2013-2014: Ready to Quinn

I like the way you roll:)

Thanks. Hell you can get a whole bottle of Makers Mark for 30 bucks. That's going to be the equivalent of 3 beers at Agganis. Hmmm.....a whole bottle of Makers vs 3 beers....they really need to rethink this policy.

I'm holding out hope that the $9.10 for a Long Trail was jacked up pricing for the Disney event. (Although the pricing on the sign looked to be of the permanent sort)

I'm with you though, I think at $9.10 as compared to the previous price of $8.03, I won't be buying any more beers at Agganis.

They will definitely be getting a nasty comment from me in the next survey.
