BSU @ MN: Bright Lights, Big City, Nice Beavers

Re: BSU @ MN: Bright Lights, Big City, Nice Beavers

Two down, four to go. Nice to see a complete performance this weekend after the abortion in Colorado last week.

If the second line continues playing this way down the stretch and into the playoffs, I like our chances no matter who the opponent is.

Agreed. Hansen Haula and Warning were very noticeable, nice to see late in the season.

One thing that is very noticeable in these games is how clean the games were. Not just lack of penalties, but lack of chirping, after the whistle scrums and pushing, lack of whining to the refs, etc. I think it speaks volumes about the class of Serratore as a coach and the kind of players he recruits. They respect the game and their opponents. Notably different from games against some of the other teams in the league.

I couldn't agree more with this.

Someone on GPL gave props to Serratore and I will here as well to echo what goldy posted. He runs a class act of a program and the whining and scrums that goldy noted are the first that came to mind. We saw none of that from BSU this weekend.

Great series for the Gophers. I'm happy they got the sweep. However, BSU didn't live up to the hype they had coming into the game and I was expecting a better series from them. I honestly expected BSU to take points home from Mariucci. I am more curious to see how the Gophers carry this momentum into Omaha. We have seen the Gophers' winning ways this year, but only early on was it consistent. I think UNO will be a great, late season challenge on the road! Can't wait to head down on Friday!:D

Re: BSU @ MN: Bright Lights, Big City, Nice Beavers

I think the Olympic Ice Sheet was too much for the Beavers this weekend, especially the younger defensemen. It seemed like on a lot of the rushes by the Gophers, the younger defensement we out of position, which is really uncharacteristic for this BSU team.

That may not bode well for the Beavers as right now they would be at CC for the playoffs......

I waS AT THE GAME Friday night, and IMHO it was one of the best games the Golden Gophers have played in a long time. Considering where bthey are in the standings, that's saying alot!:)

When they play Wisconsin it won't be that clean with an Mike Eaves coached team. If they skate away from the cheap shots from Wisconsin they will destroy them :>)
