Brown & Yale @ RPI & Union (2/15, 2/16)

Re: Brown & Yale @ RPI & Union (2/15, 2/16)

You guys are lucky as Brown and Yale get to try and take each others heads off on Tuesday night. I believe this will be a distinct advantage for the northern teams next weekend. Unless Maricic really steps up for Yale, I believe we may be in for along week.

That's a good point. They really could have, and should have, played the game today. The roads had some slush on them, but nothing ridiculous. It was much warmer today and a good portion of the snow and ice melted. I'm sure parking around Meehan would have been horrific because it's usually pretty bad anyway, but a Tuesday game puts a team at a competitive disadvantage.

There appears to be a lot on the line for both teams. It should be an all out battle. Is the game being telecast anywhere on the web?

They use America One for the internet broadcasts, I don't see it on the schedule when you click on the link on Browns site.

Go through MULTIMEDIA, and from there to Audio and Video Live Broadcasts.

kdiff - good to hear you've weathered Nemo. I think you're right about Mass getting the brunt of it.

With todays' Dart/Hvrd tie, Princeton, RPI and Dartmouth are in a three way tie for 3rd. It's all down to the wire these last few weekends. :)

I have all but given up on their coverage. More often than not I am so sorry i pay them. But then again RPI TV has spoiled me rotten.

Thanks Doc-is that on the Yale site that you gave instructions for? I have watched their home broadcast-do they also do away games?

Re: Brown & Yale @ RPI & Union (2/15, 2/16)

I believe he is talking about the Brown site. I clicked on multimedia and it sent me to the page for all broadcasts. The Yale Brown men's hockey game is not listed in the upcoming broadcasts section. That is why I questioned whether they were going to air it. Next ECAC game they have listed is Cornell.

No, Doc.....in the post following your quoted post here, LT is correct. I WAS referring to the Brown site. Unlike last night, NOW when one goes to www.brownbears.com, one is taken to "MEDIA ALL ACCESS" (RED headline to a box on right side), and THEN when you click video you are taken to "Audio and VIDEO LIVE BROADCASTS". The game is properly listed there for Tues. 2/12 @ 7:00, but when one clicks "Watch" you are taken to a list that shows Cornell on 3/1 as the NEXT home videocast. As far as YALE ALL ACCESS is concerned (per the www.yalebulldogs.com site), we are videocasting HOME games only.....from The Whale, of course. Stay tuned to this thread as we get closer to puck drop, and I will try to update.

Re: Brown & Yale @ RPI & Union (2/15, 2/16)

I just spoke to the Associate Director of Athletics Communications at Brown and she assures me that the game will be webcast. I informed her of the missing link on the webpage and she stated that because of the storm things have been very hectic and not updated. So there you have it, straight from Brown.

Thanks-next weekend in Troy should be two tough games. Of couse a lot depends on who the officials assigned will be. I always prefer the games when you do not even notice the officials. Not all of them are problematic and everyone is entitled to a couple of missed calls or bad calls. But there are a few....who should be in some other line of work.

By the way, does everyone agree that this is the wackiest and most exciting ECAC season in quite a while? This whole year has just been nuts!

Only because which teams are at the top and bottom. Otherwise it seems typical.

Typical? Four points separate 3rd place and 10th. ECAC has had great parity the last several years, but this year feels a little different. It feels like literally anyone could make a strong playoff run, regardless of seed, and win the whole thing (ok, maybe not Harvard or Cornell).

Typical in the sense of a lot of confusion late in the season. Granted that "the middle" s larger than usual.

It's the first one on the list of upcoming broadcasts.

It was fixed because I called and notified her. Get on the ball Brownies! ;)

As far as Yale goes, this season has been nerve wracking, you never know which team will show up. Except for Q being great and Cornell and HVD tanking, the rest of the teams have been flighty as well. Should be a fantastic playoff year.

I would have had this entire season's standings picked perfect-all I needed to do is reverse the order that I did pick. I mean who would ever have expected Harvard and Cornell at the bottom? It is not uncommon to have one team run away with the lead and the rest bunched-but as you mentioned-this is insanity.

I agree wholeheartedly. When is the last time that #1 was 14-0-2 with 6 to play ? OR Cornell at #11, and Harvard in the cellar? The "middle" has been clogged often, but never quite like this. All in all, isn't this
one of the many reasons we all LOVE college hockey ???

Re: Brown & Yale @ RPI & Union (2/15, 2/16)

to make it even more crazy.....how did Harvard just beat BU 7-4....and without Vesey?
