Brown & Yale @ RPI & Union (2/15, 2/16)

Re: Brown & Yale @ RPI & Union (2/15, 2/16)

kdiff - good to hear you've weathered Nemo. I think you're right about Mass getting the brunt of it.

I think we were hit worse in central CT, 34" reported in New Haven.

Snow around our cars (which fortunately we had parked at the end of the driveway before the storm hit) was thigh-deep due to drifting. It varied from 26" to 31" around our house depending upon whether you were on the windward or the lee side.

and that was all in less than 24 hours too!

(Ralph, I say this in a friendly way, from the way you describe yourself it was probably waist-deep for you!)

Extremely strong showing by RPI tonight. Played a solid 60 minutes and perhaps took a little advantage early of a somewhat tired Brown team that had played Tuesday. Tomorrow is a bit different as we have to take on Yale and Kotyra. Expect a differently called game that we have to be ready for. Go Red!! We have now won 7 league games in a row-something we have only done once since 1985.

RPI was bad news for the Brown Bears tonight. Union seems to have upper hand with Yale, 4-2, with about 7 to go in the 3rd. DrD, you're right, fatigue may be big factor for our visitors this weekend. Still, it's up to Our Red to be attentive to details and skate their game. We have the tiebreaker with Brown, now go for the same with Yale.

i would hope we come out with the jets on tomorrow. Yale has got to be a bit fatigued after tuesday and now friday. But we have a different set of refs tomorrow-I only hope we do not get called early for nit picking little things that would affect the first 10 minutes of play. That is something so common to one of those officials that is has become his routine with us. SA has this team rolling right now and making far fewer mistake sthan before. Just that one episode of a=giving up that 2 on 1 rush while on the PP tonight. We do not get to be up 2 men often-but we have to figure out how to move around better e=when presented with that. For most teams that situation is almost a sure score. For us, i just hold my breath and hope we do not get caught up ice with a blocked shot going the other way. But it sure seems that the HFH is ow our place again and anyone coming in here has to deal with a fierce and extremely confident team.
