Brown @ RPI - Saturday, March 16th

Re: Brown @ RPI - Saturday, March 16th

I'm surprised. That's not like Bubela to take a major. He has been a solid player all year in being disciplined. I am not watching the game, was it warranted or an effect of reffing?

It was an awful call -- debatable whether it was a penalty at all. I have never seen a major called for elbowing. And if there ever was a situation to call such a penalty, this was absolutely not it. And all this says nothing of the terrible missed call on Brown that immediately preceded Bubela's so-called major.

WRPI said it was an elbow to the head, not malicious, but clear. As that's a point of emphasis, that was all she wrote. 5 min + Game.

Higgs was interfered with preventing a breakaway and no call, then right after (matter of moments) Bubela's arm came up and feet stayed down with the guy ducking and turning to play the puck and he gets hit high, 2 minute penalty, but he drops like a rock until the major gets called then hops off fine. But the whole **** thing never happens if they call the first interference. The crowd here wants blood.

Couldn't tell if this was even a penalty. His elbow was coming up, but it looked like he hit him in the chest. TV had a bad angle, but that iswhat it looked like to me.

They didn't call contact to the head. To the extent it was near the head, the Brown player create the danger entirely on go own and at the last minute. It was a terrible call, and if you think otherwise, you are wrong.
