Great to see Harry Z play last night in Game 3. Terrific plus for Brown hockey. I assume he is first Brown alum to appear in the Stanley Cup finals?

Re: Brown Hockey 2016-17: The Importance of Being Ernst

Harry Z is not the only Brown alum playing in a championship series this week. Matt Lorito and his Grand Rapids Griffins AHL team is in the AHL Calder Cup finals. Griffins are up 2-0. Tonight's game and the rest of the series is being webcast on the AHL website, which is available for free.

We got a former Denver recruit:

Stats:
http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=169236

He averaged a point-per-game in the USPHL last season. Not sure how that stacks up to the other developmental leagues. He also played at Shattuck St. Mary's. Had a rough USHL stint in 2015-16.

EDIT: He was tied for 11th in scoring in the USPHL, so that's pretty good.

Granted, the top scorer had almost double his point total, but still!

Kdiff - time to start 2017-2018 Thread? Schedule out and just waiting now for announcement of the Class of 2021.

No pun? Maybe that will augur well for a good season. Or if Harry Z brings home the Cup, work his achievement in.

Re: Brown Hockey 2016-17: The Importance of Being Ernst

Congrats to Matt Lorito on his team's winninbg of the Calder Cup. He looked good skating with it.

A second Brown player to be on a Calder Cup champion team. I believe Steve King was with the Providence Bruins when it won the Cup. Anyone else?

Whatever you may have read in Chris Heisenberg's site, this is the list of incoming hockey players:

FORWARDS
Christopher Berger
Colin Burston
Alec Mehr
Benjamin Taylor
Joachim Weberg

DEFENSEMEN
Anea Ferrario
Anthony Stillwell

GOALTENDER
Lukas Kania

Among the forwards, I believe that Chris Berger and Colin Burston should help immediately.

Luke Kania's stats: http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=220287

July 1 and 2017-2018 schedule and class of 2021 announced - Countdown to new thread starting. Any takers for starting?Kdiff?

Re: Brown Hockey 2016-17: The Importance of Being Ernst

NHL contracts - Dennis Robertson with Carolina. Harry Z expected to sign with Nashville. Nick Lappin and Matt Lorito goiong into second year of their two-year contacts; I think Garnet Hathaway in same situation. So far it appears that Bruins have not extended a contract to Mark Naclerio nor has Montreal done the same with Bobby Farnham. I believe Yann Danis' contract was with the Canadiens' AHL team. Ryan Garbutt will be playing in the KHL next year.

Have I missed anyone?
