Brown Hockey 2012-2013:Climbing the ECAC Ladder

Re: Brown Hockey 2012-2013:Climbing the ECAC Ladder

Everyone who can get to Atlantic City tomorrow by 7:00- do it. This team has given you every reason to follow it to the ends of the earth.

Re: Brown Hockey 2012-2013:Climbing the ECAC Ladder

Some 200 posts ago someone asked how we Brown fans could be so patient and supportive of Bruno after all those bad seasons. Today's win shows why.

Re: Brown Hockey 2012-2013:Climbing the ECAC Ladder

Brown's defensive positioning, awareness and poise were awesome. Against supposedly one of the most dynamic offenses in the country I think Brown lost track of a QU forward one time in the entire game (the Connor Jones breakaway Borelli stopped). No one panicked with the puck. QU forwards showed skill but couldn't find any space and as the game went on looked demoralized. Couple snipes didn't hurt either (the pass and finish on the fourth goal were class). That game goes up on the mantle alongside Chris Harvey's ridiculous theft of a game at Schneider in like 1989 (won on an own-goal) and Mike Traggio's bow to the fans after it was announced he set the PIMs record (I was young so may have imagined that but it's a vivid memory) as the best I've seen of Bruno

Or 21st ranked offense in the country, but don't let the facts get in the way.

Huh, fair enough, I hadn't checked any stats but just heard/read they could bring it and saw them play last season plus they were ranked #1. I still think they have a legit, talented offense which Brown silenced

Hey guys, nice win today.

Not here to troll, congrats.

I won 4 tickets for the games tomorrow after I bought tickets with a bunch of friends.

Any takers? No charge.

You're kidding! I wish I hadn't bought tickets on the way out of the game this evening.

USCHO's coverage of our upset victory today? An article about Quinnipiac needing to regroup.

No respect.

I'd be happy to take them off your hands if they are still available :) Proud NYC Brown Alum here.

Re: Brown Hockey 2012-2013:Climbing the ECAC Ladder

Not to get too ahead of myself (I am crossing my fingers and knock on wood as I type this...it's hard to type that way, but don't want to jinx it), but a Brown win tomorrow would give them their first ECAC title and would give the Bears 17 wins, the most since the 1976 season when they finished 3rd in the nation. Bruno beat a Boston University squad led by Bowdoin's 30 year bench boss Terry Meagher.

if i have someone who is tentatively taking them... he cant get down there until later so its all depending on if I can change the name at the box office, which i will call first thing in the AM.

If you'd like, email me at daturner84@gmail.com and i'll get your info. If I can't you'd have to be able to meet me down there before the conso game.
