Re: Bracketology

Atleast he counted BC in the 6. He must think there are 2 BC's and no northeastern's. interesting question: would BU fans make that trade?

Well would this second BC be supported by the current NU fans or would each of the BC fans be cloned but the clones are fans of the second BC. If the BC fans were cloned and I got to see a flame war with SteveF and Pinhead Nation vs SteveF2 and Pinhead Nation2 on the game threads I would be all for it;)

Re: Bracketology

No kidding. At least I can get a laugh out of bracketology this early. Family guy has no comedic value anymore...

I concur with your opinion on Family Guy, but it was great in the past. Not that clip though, I wanted to throw the controller to the TV after the episode, thanks to Peter after the episode. Sad that I wanted to do it to a cartoon character.

Pretty much anything before it was canceled was fantastic but everything thereafter was mediocre at best. The cleveland show is just awful. Worst show ever.

Not sure why you have Mercyhurst there, as Air Force has a better record.

They're tied in the AHA standings, but Mercyhurst just tied and beat Air Force. They're interchangeable at this point.

Well, Mercyhurst is in first by virtue of more league wins, I would surmise, and listed that way in the standings page. But if there is going to be a quibble, why go with the AFA? RIT has the highest winning %. Not that it matters.

Substitute anyone in the AHA for Mercyhurst :p

Re: Bracketology

Aren't there 2 autobids for 12-team leagues? Or does that start next year?

If the former is true, gotta have another ECAC team in there. Only see Q-Pac.

I don't recall there being any new rule about 12-team leagues getting two autobids. IIRC, the NCAA frowned on the practice when the Big-4 leagues used to get two autobids.

Re: Bracketology

Here's the way I see it, as of today. I assumed the role of NC$$ by swapping the #2 seeds around to protect the gate.

Ft Wayne
Miami
Wisconsin
Vermont
Atlantic autobid

St Paul
Denver
Bemidji
St Cloud
Union

Albany
Ferris
Boston Col
Mn-Duluth
Yale

Worchester
Colo Col
Mich St
N Dakota
Mass

Last out: Quinnipiac & Maine
Last in: Union & AH qualifier

It's all for gits and shiggles, but Quinnipiac and UNH are the AQ's from their conferences.

Re: Bracketology

I used the assumption that the teams leading in the PWR (as opposed to leading the conference standings) were the MOST likely candidates to survive their respective conference tournamants. Possibly not a wise assumption, but that's my justification. Gits and shiggles in right.

Re: Bracketology

This week's bracketology (straight PWR)

Code:
[b]Albany Worcester	Fort Wayne	St. Paul[/b]
Ferris Wisconsin	Miami Denver
Duluth Bemidji Michigan St.	Colorado College
Yale St. Cloud	North Dakota	Vermont
Maine Union	Boston College	AHA Champ

Last in: BC, Maine
Last out: UMass, UNH

UNH is leading Hockey East. Remove Boston College and replace with New Hampshire to get the pairings using all conference leaders.
