Bottom-Feeders Bracket: Road to "Futile Four" Site Selection Process

Re: Bottom-Feeders Bracket: Road to "Futile Four" Site Selection Process

I say play it at Ford field in Detroit. First of all, its in a FOOTBALL stadium. The seats are way far away so you cant see any thing going on. Second, its Detroit, good chance of being shot or mugged. Now, lets talk about the ice. Its hard in some spots and soft in others, its sloped towards one side. I think they had it mixed up in 2010. The top teams were playing in the Futile Four, where the bottom feeders were in a better quality tournament.

Next year's site has to be Mall of America Field at the HHH Metrodome.

What's stack against it:
It's in a hockey hot-bed.
Ample Transportation
Hotel Accommodation
Potential to receive Dave Kingman's moon-shot

What's going for it:
Patron's will notice a [strikethrough]slight[/strikethrough] massive shake in the foundation.
Every seat will have an obstructive view in the 3rd period as the teflon slaps them in the face. This time not from snow.
Family will not be able to get a refund on that expensive hotel reservation
Hockey in a football stadium, INDOORS
The last release of urine you will take, will be at a Metrodome troff.
Dome Dogs have been off the menu for a couple of years.

I second the Barrow Hockey & Curling Association ice rink in Barrow, Alaska. Barrow is the northern-most city in the USA and the rink is set up in a tent. Having the FF played in the arctic circle would be a fantastic new low for this tournament.

I nominate Atlantic City:

No one can argue that it is an inappropriate venue for quality Division 1 Hockey...just ask the ECAC.

Also, it appears that hockey fans there already seem to have the appropriate "Futile Four" mindset...

Because it was used in qualification for that other tournament, the committee will not consider the venue this year. This isn't to say, though, that it won't be considered in future years...

I approve of the idea to use the metrodome. Its a total ****box.

I have a half frozen pond/puddle in my back yard that would be right for this occasion.
