Are the cis okay?
We haven't made any decisions yet.
I'd like to propose that the 2024 FuF be held outdoors in the path of the eclipse.
Any HS field will do. If it is held in Northern wastes of New Hampshire, even better as natural ice could be used.
I suspect that there are some venues in Texas which will soon make bids.
I'm also leaning towards having an "anti-Hobey Baker" and an "anti-Spencer Penrose" award, going to Worst Player and Worst Coach.
For Worst Player, we'll call it the Orange Pylon.
For Worst Coach, I am thinking Captain of the Titanic.

Don't forget, the Hobey is also supposed to have a character component (though in practice, it rarely does anymore). So the anti-Hobey should have a "lack of character/class" factor when voting on candidates.
So if you can nominate a player that's a traffic come on the ice and a total sleaze off it, we want to know!
I was thinking the John Scott Award, but Tech fans may disagree.

I'd have been fine with it 10 years ago, especially after the drunk driving/attempted murder incident that forced him to spend part of his senior year in jail, but there is the fact that he did "play" almost 300 NHL games. So, I think that makes him too talented to have this award named after him (even if the talent was mostly his fists). Surely there are other deserving candidates.
I'd like the coach award to be the Tom Asbestos (Anastos) Award. He would have won it at least 4 years in a row.
As bad as Anastos was, I propose the "Tim Watters Award" for worst coach. The MTU team that went 4-34-0 in1999-2000 still stands as a single-season total loss record in NCAA D1 hockey history, and included starting and ending the season on 0-13 runs. He took what had been (while hardly a contender) a somewhat competitive program under Newell Brown and Bob Mancini, and tanked it.
NYET — UAH went 2-35-1 in 2013-14. http://www.uscho.com/scoreboard/alabama-huntsville/mens-hockey/2013-2014/
