Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

Hmmm

Bu bp section is to the left of the visitors bench. Recently the hea seats have been behind the home bench and above/around.

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

that would go against what i can remember. We are always in 323 over to like 318 and BU is like at 306, the opposite corner. I believe i sat in about the same seats for last year's BP and HE tourney, same corner as BP this year.............i think:confused::)

Beanpot and Hockey East Tournament seating are different, BU students are in 308-306 for the Beanpot and have not been in that area for at least the last 5 HE semi appearances.

Yes, that would be the first time I can remember the BU section was on that side, it's always been 330 or 302 in the years I've been around.

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

They season bu played 11 periods, we sat across from the home bench. We had a good view of Whitney scoring the tournament winner down the other end

hmmm, ok...............well, maybe for BC they keep us in the same corner because they know we are going to be there for both events:p;)

I'm in Loge 17. Did not get the tickets through BU though.

I thought I'd share this info just in case anyone wanted to sit near Eric :D

Loge 16 for us...got them through the Garden box office (with a nice discount) [as did you] :D

Looks like that's the area BU is selling as well, apparently the Agganis ticket office has balconies in 317 and loge tickets directly below.

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

Here's an even easier/more likely way: http://goo.gl/FDaJU

Don't need Union to lose twice, don't even need Wisconsin to lose. Based on what I've been running, the biggest key actually seems to be Miami winning the CCHA. Not sure exactly why that is.

ETA: You can change ECAC to Yale and WCHA to Minnesota in this scenario and BU still gets in.

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

Does anyone know how bu season ticket sales are? I'm assuming they've dropped in recent years, but just curious.

In an earlier thread it was said that there were 1800 some odd season ticket holders and that is has been somewhat consistent since Agganis opened.

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

Re: Seating

Wouldn't it be based off seeds or something? Since the teams change every year probably little consistency on where a certain section is.

I remember when I got tickets as a student we were mostly opposite the benches but much more near center ice than they put us for the beanpot.

Anyways should be open seats up there so I can roam.

The balcony endzones are not part of the school allotments for HE like they are for the Beanpot so the students are closer to center.

In 2009 as the top seed BU was in 330. I don't know where BC was last year but according to sterlippo it wasn't 330 and since BU was in 302 and Maine was the far corner from BU that'd mean PC, the worst seed, was in 330.

They flip coins for sections?

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

Thinking back on where BC was located...

2007: believe 317ish
2008: didn't have much of a student section since it was easter break and everyone goes home
2009: 317ish again
2010: 315ish

obviously graduated in 2010 so blanking on 11 & 12

but i do remember bc consistently facing the benches.

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

but i do remember bc consistently facing the benches.

BU consistently doesn't. Maybe they just put BU and BC on opposite sides and then worry about the other two teams after.

Which would mean this year we face the benches and you don't?

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

Getting back to BU Pricing fans out of HAA. What about HE pricing fans out of the HE tournament? $100 for two balcony seats!? Those are Bruins prices.

I'm going, but most of my season ticket holder seatmates aren't.

BU Hockey: Going Broke for Jack's Last Stand
