Boston University off-season thread (preparing for 16/17).

Re: Boston University off-season thread (preparing for 16/17).

Boyle called for it

Everyone in the arena could hear the "KEVIN!!"

Pretty ****ing funny now looking back

Yes, but the biggest was in that dreadful nightmare in the Centrum when he took the giveaway in front of the BU net and deposited it past Curry. It was 6:26 into the first period and the game was over after that.

To me that game was over when we were seeded in the same region. No way we were beating them five times in a row.

Re: Boston University off-season thread (preparing for 16/17).

After making UNO looked like a JV team the night before, that was one of the most, if not THE most disappointing game I've ever attended (in some ways even more than 9-1, given who the opponent was). And I agree, once Schaeffer coughed up the puck, it seemed like we were doomed. We were all just waiting for the dam that was 4 wins over BC to burst (each game seemed to get closer with the last one being the OT win in the HE title game. I stayed off these boards for about 6 weeks after that game, just out of disgust...

When was this?

Now that I've thought it over, I guess you're right.
It was actually only 19. Back then BC/BU played a minimum of 4 games a year (3 RS, 1 Beanpot).

'04-'05 was 4 games
'05-'06 was 6 games (1 HE Final, 1 NCAA Regional Final )
'06-'07 was 5 games (1 HE Semifinal)
'07-'08 was 4 games

I am disappointed in you. Boyle was a freshman in 03-04, senior in 06-07. Swap out your four games in 08 and add the 7 we played in 03-04, and it comes to 22.

The most disappointing thing about that game was how badly BU lost their composure in the 3rd. Dirty, dangerous hits. Coach York looking flabbergasted at Coach Parker like "***???" Only time I can recall being embarrassed to be a BU fan, and only time I can recall feeling glad they lost. Not even close to the 9-1 game (which I was also at). And in terms of disappointment, the 2015 title game was the Macho Grande of my BU fandom career. "Over Macho Grande?" "No, I'm afraid I'll never get over Macho Grande..." I still can't believe they lost that game lol...

Alrighty then. But... if he was on the roster from '04-'05 thru '07-'08, I'd have been right! :D

See that right there mookie? I'm actually only half alive. :o
