Keller is a scoring machine who is committed to BU but Windsor has his rights in the OHL and there's talk he'll end up there next season.

Thanks. SportsNet.ca was the same media outlet that claimed Jack Eichel was jumping ship in the middle of last season to the Q. FWIW.

True but in a few weeks no one cares. If a kid changes his mind and goes Q vs D 1 from USA , than good riddance
If they don't get the value, could care less if I watched them play

Agreed. If that's how they feel, then why to go all the bother of the whole recruiting process? I would imagine it's not a low maintenance kind of process. The whole signing process etc is a big deal. If you're not 100% in, why go through it all?

Because their life at that age is all about Twitter, Instagram and snapchat

They all write the exact same thing, count the favorites and retweets and
have fun with it. It's status... The world they live in today. 59 examples of kids who never intended to go

It seemed to me like he was suggesting Kimball Union hockey players have a gambling problem! "Greer's time at KUA overlapped with Roberto by one year" etc.
If only Roberto had stayed at Malden Catholic, none of this would have happened!!!

Yeah, there is no way that someone of Keller's caliber comes to BU without at least two bouts of "he is considering Major Junior" hitting the wires. If the Eichel rumors could come out of nowhere like they did, then it can for anyone. Only a few people really know his intentions. Obviously it would be a big hit to lose him, but not much we can do about it. I just hope that if we lose one of the wonder twins, we don't lose the other.

Just focus on what I write and block the rest, if you are truly interested in reality

OK, I'll play along...which former Terrier commit now plying their trade in the Great White North with the McKenzie Brothers would've helped BU the most this year -- Erne, Askew or DeAngelo?

Windsor was pushing hard for Keller before he signed his NLOI; no reason to expect them to stop now, since he’s a consensus top 15 pick for the next NHL draft, putting up exceptional numbers for the U18s. It’s hard to tell which reports from up North to take seriously. Over the years many reporters have proven to be shills for major junior teams, helping them keep the pot bubbling regarding players committed to NCAA.

As for being the final forward cut for the Jr. Nat’l Team, my guess is that Keller didn’t win a spot on the first three lines and doesn’t fit in the role of a fourth line center.

If these junior teams go head over heels for someone like AJ Greer, you know they are gonna put the full court press on Keller.

Head over heels? They simply snapped up a second-round NHL pick (whom they’d drafted in the 11th round) who elected to leave school and still has size, skill and potential.

Size, yes, potential, sure. But for his sake, I sure hope his skill level wasn't on display during his time at BU.

A second Roberto story from CHN's Adam Wodon:

* Who is spreading the more lurid rumors? I don't like to give validity to unfounded rumors by addressing them, even if just to say they're not true. Just mentioning them gives them a validity they don't deserve. But there's a rumor being floated around that this situation compromised Boston University's championship game loss last April. That's obviously such a collossal issue, if that were the case, that even though it's unsubstantiated rumor, it's an elephant in the room that should be addressed. And this rumor is being perpetuated by coaches, agents and scouts in New England — so it isn't just fans on the street trying to fabricate their own conclusions and stir the pot.

My underlining. Disappointing and troubling? Yes. Surprising? Sadly, no.

I watched a replay of the goal last night and honestly knowing what we know now it looks pretty bad. BU would do well to get to the bottom of exactly what happened. As long as the true story isn't out there people will make up their own.

Anybody who watched "The Season", with O'Connor literally in tears on the coaches shoulder outside the locker room, knows how ludicrous this theory is. When you watch the replay, it's obvious that O'Connor thought for a split second that he didn't have the puck in his glove (he briefly looks over his shoulder, then the puck drops out of his glove. Then he realizes he had it all along and drops to the ice, and it takes a hard luck bounce into the net). And like Wodon says in his article, is this really how you would do something like this? There was plenty of time left in the game, much easier to just freeze when screened, letting a puck off a real shot go in. O'Connor had a shaky tournament, with a bad goal against UMD from the point, and the play against UND where the puck ended up in front of the empty net.

It's Drew S we're talking about. Water off a duck's back.

gwg with the horrible coverage off the faceoff (as hoky said) could have been it with the "other two".....

You couldn't be more wrong. If you're intentionally throwing a game, you don't let that one in. You let a softie in that you just happened to get jammed on or were a foot out of position. Not a chance you do something so incredibly attention-grabbing. To insinuate O'Connor threw the game is downright insulting to him and shameful.

I also don't know of any team who is throwing a game who would take 52 shots on net and crash the net with a minute left. If anyone other than Jon Gillies was in net that night, BU would have won handily.

I don't know about that...Ellis right now is having a better season then Gillies did. Every bounce since the beginning of that tourney has gonet PC's way and BU luck ran out (epic comebacks and third period heroics)

That's it Xlax, every bounce went for PC. Every single bounce went 100% only for PC. Mauermans attempted clear with under a minute to go right on the BU players stick on the point. The first blind squirrel goal that BU scored from the sidewall, yup. Every bounce went only to PC. Poor BU was snake bitten. PC won because they outplayed them. Same reason why they beat BU 2 out of the 3 times they played them that year. Better team, period and Gillies was a huge part of it
No soup for you one year. Next!!!!

PC 7 Miami 5
PC 4 Denver 1
PC 4 UNO 1
PC 4 BU 3

Any team that beats those first national power house 3 straight, and convincingly, is clearly playing well. The only epic comeback was PC in the third to TAKE the national championship from BU
