Seems silly to me if Maguire starts tomorrow. Although, maybe you want to get him in another game before going to North Dakota.

O' Connor looked solid tonight. I would not be surprised if Maguire does get a start due to the trip to ND. I don't think they'd want him to go without game action for that long.

I chatted with Bavo and Gero before the game in the stands and told that I had expected Maguire Timmy start at home, but Bavo said sometimes the pressure is no better and even worse at home.

They seemed far from sure that Maguire would play this weekend, though winning last night will help. And if Maguire doesn't play tonight, I can't imagine him getting a start in front of a huge North Dakota crowd next weekend.

One another note: I think it's a healthy sign that BU has two wins despite the fact that Nieto has no points and Gill and Noonan have one apiece in three games. Who would have predicted that Hohmann would have twice as many points as the three of them put together!

Kudos to the TerrierTV production team (or whatever they should be called) for making a much better video highlight clip this time. You can actually see each of the goals develop. It was almost 2 minutes long! Perhaps they read my earlier complaint on here...

Not Kudos to the BU Athletics mobile app with the "premium" streaming option. Paid my $9.99 for the season (a bargain) & the thing promptly shat the bed. Video wouldn't play and when it finally did it wouldn't rotate to landscape orientation. THEN it hung up after about 2 minutes.

But hey, a win is a win. :)

I was thinking about getting that for tonight's game too. Looks like I might stick with Bernie and Tom's voices tonight then.

I'm older and my hearing isn't what is once was, but does BU actually have a defenseman named Anti Oxidant?

It's good for Jack Parker's health.

I'm glad to see Hohmann and Rodrigues develop nicely. Them two, along with Grzelyk seemed to be the best 3 skaters on the ice last night. Rodrigues didn't score a goal but had a couple slick moves last night.

The UMass webcast is available tonight to Terrier TV subscribers. There should be a link on the GoTerriers recap of last night's game.

Re: Boston University 2012-13 Season Thread -- Up To The Task?

Ahti made a great slap pass last night from deep in the defensive zone after a pass across from Noonan. Came out so fast I think he caught the forward by surprise and he couldn't catch up to it. Right at the start of the icing battle IIRC. The forward gets that in stride and he has a great chance to fly.

Re: Boston University 2012-13 Season Thread -- Up To The Task?

Nice early season HEA sweep. It looks like UMass has issues holding onto leads at home.

O'Connor great once again.

Page 2 after a sweep????? Perhaps everyone is in Hurricane prep mode...

Nice weekend for both O'Connor and O'Regan. Also O'Noonan and O'Megan.

Re: Boston University 2012-13 Season Thread -- Up To The Task?

Nice to be 3-1, but the BHB analysis points out the warts in last night's win: turnovers, penalties, faceoffs. A refrain we've heard before.

Re: Boston University 2012-13 Season Thread -- Up To The Task?

I will be at both games in Grand Forks this coming weekend when the Terriers invade the Ralph. Not sure what team you will get. Lately it's good friday and not so good saturday.

So where will Maguire be transferring to? ;)
