like rover said, there was little ice time for lower lines where drury lived. i started a conversation a couple years ago, if mike pomichter had not left would drury have been a healthy scratch for a majority of the games (or mike sylvia)? and both were **** good hockey players.
I don't think you can assume that Drury was NHL bound. As a freshman (granted, on a NCAA championship team), he had a solid, but by no means spectacular season, with 12 goals. Then as a sophomore, he emerged as a dominating player, with i think 36 goals. I think some of the credit for this development has to go to Parker..
